E. Roger Mitchell Joins The Cast Of THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE As 'Chaff'
With all these new actors joining the cast of Francis Lawrence's The Hunger Games: Catching Fire, will there actually be any room left for Katniss Everdeen?! Hit the jump for details on E. Roger Mitchell's (Battle: Los Angeles) role as 'Chaff'.
Deadline reports that E. Roger Mitchell (The Last Exorcism 2) has joined the cast of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire as 'Chaff'. He will apparently be playing a former tribune from District 11 who won the 45th Annual Hunger Games. The site goes on to mention that the sequel will see Katniss Everdeen and new characters such as this one all competing in the "Quarter Quell", a.k.a. the 75th Annual Hunger Games (the events of the first film took place during the 74th). Mitchell joins an ensemble which includes returning cast members Jennifer Lawrence, Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth, and fellow new additions Phillip Seymour Hoffman, Amanda Plummer, Jena Malone, Lynn Cohen, Patrick St. Esprit, Meta Golding, Bruno Gunn and Alan Ritchson. The film will be released on November 22nd, 2013.
