The Hollywood Reporter confirms that New Regency has picked up the rights to The New West; a comic book written by All-Star Western co-writer Jimmy Palmiotti (with art from Phil Noto). Benderspink's Chris Bender, J.S. Spink and Jake Weiner are will produce alongside the former founder of Wizard Magazine, Gareb Shamus. Most exciting however is the fact that Total Recall director Len Wiseman will also produce, although he isn't currently attached to direct the adaptation of the two-issue comic book series. The New West focuses on disgraced former Los Angeles Police detective Daniel Wise and is set in a near future deserted hostile LA environment where the Mayor has been kidnapped and Wise is the only one who can save him..,with just a horse and sword.

"please dont pay to see this mans films.
This is Paul ws Anderson all over again.

Weget it, he has a hot wife. It doesnt mean you should pay to see her in all his shit films. "

Oh God, shut the hell up. I'll watch who the hell I want. I paid to see Wiseman's Live Free Or Die Hard, and the film kicked ass. It was easily worth my time and money. I saw his Hawaii Five-O pilot and it too kicked ass. Even the original Underworld was pretty damn good.

Who the hell are you, some idiot loser on the internet, to question a Hollywood film director. The man has made something of his life. What the hell have you ever done? Not to mention he has forgotten more about films and filmmaking in the last 5 minutes than you'll ever know. How sad and pathetic do you have to be to go on the internet and urge people not to see a director's films? Pretty pathetic I'd say. So in other words, shut the hell up.

As for Paul WS Anderson, Wiseman has more talent in his pinky finger than Anderson has in his whole body.
