Earlier this year, Supercrooks writer Mark Millar revealed that Ryan Reynolds or Bradley Cooper would be his ideal choice to play 'Johnny Bolt' in the upcoming big screen adaptation of his and Leinil Yu's critically acclaimed series. Well, on the Millarworld Forums this evening, Millar has confirmed that production on the film is moving ahead and that he'll be calling up Cooper's people tomorrow in order to begin talks. While there's nothing to say that he will accept, this is VERY good news for fans. Here's what Millar had to say about his plans to cast the actor...

"We've got a great director, a great screenplay and as of Christmas we'll have time to start prepping this sucker. Who we gonna call? Bradley Cooper. I am literally calling up his guys tomorrow and want to secure him as Johnny Bolt. It's about TIME he did a super-movie and having him as a likeable super-villain in a super-heist flick sounds about perfect. He's our ideal choice and we're going to pursue this tomorrow."

This sounds like a good fit; I dig Bradley Cooper. I thought he should have been Hal Jordan & Reynolds should've been the upcoming cinematic version of the Flash.

Mark Millar said last month (or few weeks back) that he wanted Ryan Reynolds for the part then someone mentioned Cooper, which I guess he liked more and is now all over signing Cooper for the part. Think Reynolds is the better choice. Either way Supercrooks is an excellent story one of the best comics I have read for ages, had the pleasure of telling Millar that myself when met him a Kapow this year.

I still want Bradley Cooper to play Nathan Drake when they eventually get around to making the Uncharted movies.
