As many of you know, filming for the anticipated Expendables sequel is under way in Bulgaria. Sadly, a stuntman was killed and another was seriously injured while filming an explosive scene. The injured man has undergone a 5-hour surgery and was listed as "stable" by local authorities.

Police said Friday the two men, whose names and nationalities were not disclosed, were performing a stunt involving an explosion on an inflatable boat on the Ognyanovo dam, just outside the capital, Sofia. The incident occurred late Thursday.

Expendables 2 sees the re-teaming of popular action stars including Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone, Bruce Willis, Jason Statham, Jet Li and Dolph Lundgren. The film also added the likes of Chuck Norris, Jean-Claude Van Damme and new-comer Liam Hemsworth. Mickey Rourke recently announced that he would not be returning to the franchise. The film is being directed by Simon West.

Compared to many people on CBM, I'm a relative newbie to the comic book world. I've just recently (within the last 10 years or so) started reading comics. However, I've been a fan of comic book characters nearly all my life, thanks to cartoons like the X-Men Series and Batman. Been downhill ever since.

I am an avid movie watcher and run my own movie website,(GeekBoyMovieNews) which covers a wide variety of movies, books and television news. There is nothing better to me than to sit back and a enjoy a good movie, or a crappy one for a good laugh.

While you may not see a lot of articles submitted by me, I've been an active user for close to three years here on CBM and I enjoy every minute on here. We have the best online community on the net her at CBM.com.

I've been lucky enough to climb the ranks here at CBM and the almighty Galactus has chosen me to act as one of his Heralds (Jr. Editor). So if you ever need suggestions or help on articles, I am more than happy to help out; you can find me in the CBM chat quite often. I also assist Big G in his "Beat Galactus Quizzes," so if you feel like you have a good question for the next quiz or suggestions on making them work better and more smoothly, feel free to drop me a line.

I look forward to talking and discussing comic books and their movies with all of you on the site!

@CBMfanx1 - [frick] you man. You sound like these lil' kids with no respect for life and doesn't know what reality is because plays too much CoD and has no present parents to explain that isn't real, and that for real isn't nice.

So GTFO.

Bad News. And sadly probably means the movie will make more money because of it.

Really sad news, but this sort of thing does happen in films, the stunt profession is very dangerous.

that sucks :(

Once again we should all give great respect to the stuntmen´s job who sometimes filming big action sequences risk their own life to create great entertainment for the audience.

That's pretty crappy. I feel bad for their families. However, on a side note - this is gonna be epic if someone died while it was being made!

I saw a documentary on Jackie Chan and it give me a new found respect for stuntmen. If there is any solice to this, we could probably say the man died for what he loved doing.

I guess as an audience we take it for granted, how dangerous filming some films can be... it's safe to say, no matter how much I want to work in the movies, I'm never going to be brave enough to work as a stuntman.

It's always shocking to hear about people dying while filming a movie... RIP.
