Based on "The Hilly Earth Society" written by Louis Kornfeld and produced by Jonathan Mitchell for The Truth Podcast, The Infernal Machine is a new thriller from Paramount Movies that boasts an impressive A-List roster of talent.
Starring Guy Pearce (Iron Man 3), Alice Eve (Iron Fist), Jeremy Davies (The Black Phone), and Alex Pettyfer (Magic Mike), the movie promises to be a real edge-of-your-seat thrill ride. It also has all the makings of one that should keep us guessing right up until the end credits if what we see here is any indication.
Described by the studio as a psychological thriller of obsession and deceit, The Infernal Machine follows Bruce Cogburn (Pearce), a reclusive and controversial author of the famed book The Infernal Machine who is drawn out of hiding when he begins to receive endless letters from an obsessive fan.
What ensues is a dangerous labyrinth as Bruce searches for the person behind the cryptic messages...forcing him to confront his past and ultimately revealing the truth behind The Infernal Machine.

Throw in that impressive cast and we're definitely intrigued to see what writer and director Andrew Hunt delivers here. September looks set to be a month dominated by re-releases, including Spider-Man: No Way Home and Avatar. Having an original thriller like this one playing on the big screen definitely offers a welcome alternative in an otherwise unexciting month.
