When an evil spirit called Pitch becomes bent upon taking over the world by inspiring fear in the hearts of kids everywhere, a group of our greatest heroes — Santa, the Easter Bunny, the Tooth Fairy, the Sandman and Jack Frost — band together for the first time, determined to stand in Pitch’s way. More than a collection of storybook subjects, The Guardians are also a band of superheroes, who possess their own special powers. Now joined in opposition of a common foe, the Guardians heed the call and combine their powers to defeat Pitch and protect the world from his campaign of fear.

Could be a good un I think. It's based on the book by William Joyce and features the voice talents of Alec Baldwin as North (Santa,) Chris Pine as Jack Frost, Hugh Jackman as Bunnymud (Easter Bunny), Isla Fisher as Tooth (I think you can guess that one) and Jude Law as Pitch.

wow...who exactly is the audience for this?
young kids would be scared out of their mind and older kids will think this is stupid...

so im guessing the audience is the family and friends of those involved in the making of this crap.

Wow... that's just... I'm having a hard time wrapping my mind around it. It's such a ridiculous idea that it's actually very clever as a parody, but then they're playing it so earnestly straight in the trailer.

No idea what to make of it.

@HelaGood

I can't see the trailer due to being at work.

but, your post does bum me out.

I have read the "Man in the Moon" book to my 5-year old daughter many times. and reading through "Nicholas St. North" with her and her baby sister now. (ok the baby just hears things and doesn't know or care what's going on)

but, in our house we are great fans of William Joyce's imaginative, creative work.
'so even if my daughter finds it too intense now? In a year or two, I'm sure she'd be fine with it.

I highly doubt only creative people attached to it will see this. :)

If adults can watch something as twisted as Spongebob, this shouldn't be an issue for kids and adults alike.

Kids will be scared out of their mind? Maybe if you raised some sissy ass kids. I have a 7 and a 4 year old, and they'll be all over this. The dragon in Sleeping Beauty, the witch in Snow White. Scary shit is always in these kids movies. They damn near killed off the entire cast of Toy Story this last time. Remember the bad guy in Ferngully?

The Return to Oz scared the daylights out of me when I was like 5. The witch had an assortment of interchangable heads. Pretty scary when you're 5.

The tooth fairy is hot.
So I wonder if kids will make the connection of things that don't exist with things they think exists... ahahaha. Their whole world will be turned upside down.

Did I hear the rabbit say where are the 'Bloody' seat belts? I know the rabbit has an Aussie accent, as do I, so I am guessing he did say that. If that is the case and this movie is directed at kids, which it appears it is, then there is no way I'll be watching it nor my kids. I use bad language all the time, but never around my kids or any other kids. Just another step downwards.

Gothamkid, if you consider "bloody" a bad word, I think it's time to move into that bubble and lock yourself away from the world.

Oh & Santa being Russian is great. Santa is, after all, a icon of Communist Russia. Think about it, he's a big a man with a beard from a cold land. All popular Communist images. Then we gave his ideology - he GIVES toys to children who are "good". He never "sells" anything he makes but rather, gives back to those who, themselves contribute to the betterment of society. -Pure Marxism! So, yeah, I this.k making him Russian is perfect. The tattoos on the other hand, just make him kind of bad@SS!
