If you think Ultimate spider-man tv series will get more mature and adds more drama to the, stupidly portrayed character, then you are out of luck.

Premiered on April 1st, the ultimate spider-man Tv show was met with many mixed to negative reactions, especially among fans who felt the show is too juvenile and lacks drama.

However, many fans were hoping that due to the negative reception and reviews the show is getting, Marvel will change the tone of the show with the second season. Unfortunately this will not happen, in fact when asked, through twitter, about the possibility of a tone change and more drama added to the show, Joe Quesada, Marvel's chief executive officer, had this to say.

Fan's message: Any chance you fix ultimate spiderman cartoon? Fans are hating it. Plz fix it by season 2, make spidey solo, and better writing. I am huge marvel fan, but im disappointed by ultimate spidey show. too many jokes, inaccurate personalities, and bad writing, I am not attacking you Joe, i love your work, and im hoping as Marvel chief, you fix this mess of ultimate spider-man cartoon

Joe QuesadaCompletely understand and respect your opinion, but the show is doing well and growing so I think we're on the right path.

So there you have it folks. If you were watching the show hoping that Spider-man will be taken more seriously and portrayed more accurately, then you might just want to drop the series right, because the tone will change anytime soon.

Paul Dini has already confirmed ages ago on a marvel podcast that the show will get darker and more serious in later seasons so you're posting wrong info

If they are aiming for the 6 to 12 demographic then they are probably on the right track. Not sure though as I have not seen any numbers regarding the shows ratings. If they are aiming for teens thru adults they are most definitely NOT on the right path. This show is so immature it's downright stupid.

This is early tho, No one said that spidey wont evolve as a character and get more mature.

If Joe Quesada is saying this then the show must be getting decent ratings and making enough money to keep the execs happy and thats all they care about. All us true Spidey fans can do to combat this show is to NOT WATCH IT.

"So to sum it up: THERE WILL BE NO TONE CHANGE!"

What bullshit is this?

"while dini's podcast was prior to the show's premiere"

Oh yes, silly me thinking Paul dini, an amazing writer, would be smart enough to plan ahead and come up with mature/dark ideas he could do in future episodes, I mean he's only been writing batman for how long...

It depends on what you choose to take from it, I think, and, if not for this amazingly fully imagined Avengers cartoon to compare it to, it probably would have been better received.

For me it's, more or less, the animation itself. Something about it simply drives me nuts -- can't put my finger on it.

I didn't think there would be another comicbook cartoon that would be worst then, wb's The Batman. Now Ultimate spiderman has to be the worst comic book cartoon, so far.
