According to Bleedingcool.com, Toy Story 4 could happen! According to sources, Hanks was asked if there will be a Toy Story 4 and here's his answer:

I think there will be yeah. Yeah, yeah. They’re working on it now. There you go.

Now we have no idea whether Hanks actually did confirm this, but according to sources, that was his answer! And Hanks is not one to lie, he answers truthfully - most of the time.

As you know, there is no further information on the fourth Toy Story film's plot, cast, writers, or release date, but if this is a true statement, we could be hearing more soon!

Toy Story 3 received over a billion dollars in total gross at the box office worldwide while Rotten Tomatoes gave it a eye-popping 99%.

There better not be, dammit. The third one was the perfect way to end it.

I realllllly hope there isn't anotherone. It will be like cars all over again. oh and sorta nitpicking here but, i think that was the domestic gross. Toystory 3 grossed over a billion dollars worldwide:)

I went to see Cars2 which kinda sucked, but anyway went to see it with my nephew and the did a mini Toys Story movie. So you could tell there is still room for more.

As well as TS3 ended the trilogy, I'm more than open for another film.

I personally didn't like the third one. A bit dark for an animated kids film.

considering i was like 7 when the first one came out, 11 with the second and 22 with the third.. i practically grew up with this and i loved the third film.. the way it ended was perfect, my childhood was exuberant somewhere inside my psyche.. a fourth? please god, say it won't be so.. just let it be, no need to ruin or even better it..

Hopefully he thought they were asking about another Toy Story short, and not a whole new film. However, I wouldn't put it past Pixar any longer.

Well, TS3 was the perfect way to end it. But the recent Hawaiian Vacation short proved that there could be a few more stories to tell. I, personally, want to see them do the plot from Circle 7's version of TS3 where Buzz Lightyear gets recalled. That could still be an interesting story...

Well it was announced that there were going to be a few Toy Story shorts that are supposed being worked on.

I really hope they don't make another film though. Toy Story 3 was an emotional roller coaster! It was supposed to be the finale of a great franchise and it had the perfect ending. I love Toy Story but I just simply don't think they should make another one. That would just make Pixar look like a money hungry company milking their most famous film to the last drop.

Fellow CBMers, you guys are awesome, I 100% agree with your opinions!

Hellsing, ComicsCommando, TFanBoy67, I couldnt have put it better myself

@marvel72
oh good god yes, Pixar should be going about making a goddamn Incredibles 2. I know the reason they arent making one yet is, because they are looking for a good story which has always been one of the admirable things about Pixar. The story is one of the things that makes a Pixar movie memorably interesting (unlike Dreamworks who, dont get me wrong make fun, interesting movies but maybe apart from Shrek, they are ultimately forgettable). But once the Incredibles director Brad Bird is done with Mission Impossible 4, he and the writers of the first Incredibles need to sit down in a room and come up with a good story rather than always talking about doing a good story

@jaybear
I am right there with you, it is exact reason Toy Story is so special for me because I grew up with it. But it needs to be ended

@Chewtoy
First of all, I agree with you, even though I also dont want another full Toy Story movie, I think it would be awesome if they made some more Toy Story shorts. I havent seen Hawaiian Vacation yet, it looks really good. But shorts would be the perfect way to continue on the Toy Story franchise.

Truthfully, I dont think any Pixar movie deserves a sequel (apart from Incredibles of course, Incredibles trilogy please!) BUT I would love to see a couple of shorts a year involving characters from previous Pixar movies (maybe in the vein of the brilliant "Mike's New Car" or "Jak Jak Attack"), it would be the perfect way to continue on Pixar franchises without doing a pointless cash-in movie

Although, I do agree with your second point too, I wouldnt put it past Pixar anymore. Suddenly with "Cars 2" & "Monsters University", pointless sequels & prequels suddenly are the way to go and I dont like it (well, apart from Brave which looks original). Where the originality of the first 11 movies, I want that back? Is Disney starting to push Pixar to make more merchandise friendly movies? I hope Im just being too paranoid, because how long before Disney starts doing the same to Marvel?

@JULEZ13
Very good points, you took the words right out of mouth. When I heard there was going to be Toy Story 3, I was extremely happy but with news of a potential Toy Story 4 (and I hope Hanks was talking about future shorts), I am not happy in the slightest

But yeah, the general consensus, NO MORE TOY STORY FEATURE LENGTH MOVIES, but would you guys like some TS shorts every year. A great way to keep our favourite characters alive without going pointless.

Whew, end of rant lol

I, too feel that the original "Toy Story" saga has come to a proper close and should stay that way. If they continue, at least let it be with new toys.

@dancingmonkey08: thank you for agreeing with me.. as much as I want to see Buzz & Woody again i'd rather have short films than full length ones.. i would like to see a short explaining why Woody and Little Bo Beep got separated, it bummed me out a bit not seeing her in the 3rd film..
