IGN has debuted a new behind-the-scenes featurette for Ghost in The Shell, and there's quite a bit of cool stuff on display.

In addition to some brand new footage from the movie, we also hear from the director of the original anime, Mamoru Oshii, who paid a visit to the set. Plus, Scarlett Johansson and director Rupert Sanders share their thoughts on bringing this live-action take on the iconic property to life.

Based on the internationally-acclaimed sci-fi property, “GHOST IN THE SHELL” follows the Major, a special ops, one-of-a-kind human-cyborg hybrid, who leads the elite task force Section 9. Devoted to stopping the most dangerous criminals and extremists, Section 9 is faced with an enemy whose singular goal is to wipe out Hanka Robotic’s advancements in cyber technology.

Rupert Sanders is at the helm of Ghost in the Shell, which also stars Michael Pitt, Juliette Binoche, “Beat” Takeshi Kitano, Michael Wincott, and Pilou Asbæk, and is set for release on March 31, 2017.
