According to The Wrap, Tarzan star Margot Robbie is talks to star in Ghost in the Shell for DreamWorks. The site doesn't specify who exactly she will be playing, but lead character Major Motoko Kusanagi seems like a safe bet. The movie is based on the popular manga created by Masamune Shirow, and it follows, "the exploits of a member of a covert ops unit of the Japanese National Public Safety Commission that specializes in fighting technology-related crime." More details on who Robbie might be playing can be found here. The live-action adaptation of Ghost in the Shell is being directed by Rupert Sanders while Bill Wheeler penned the screenplay. This has the potential to be a major new franchise and would give the Australian actress the chance to show off her action chops. What do you guys think? Be sure to share your thoughts below!
