Want A Selfie With ANT-MAN? Shazam Update Does That And More!

I ran into Kristian from Shazam last weekend while attending the Ant-Man press junket and he showed me the new update to the app that not only lets you take a selfie with Ant-Man, but also lets you explore the world from his perspective!

Remember last year when you could Shazam the music after The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and watch a video revealing the Sinister 6? Well, Shazam is at it again with Ant-Man, which is due to hit theaters next week. Not only will the new abilities to "shazam" with your camera let you explore the miniature world of Marvel's Ant-Man, from Scott Lang's perspective, but it will also let you take a selfie with Ant-Man. I obviously need to learn how to take better selfies, based upon my Ant-Man selfie below, but you get the idea.

"Shazam" one of the posters below and it will launch the Ant-Man experience on your mobile device. The posters look familiar, don't they?
  • Download and install the Shazam app
  • Launch the app
  • Shazam one of the 7 posters below (more are on their way!)
  • Check out the Ant-Man experience
  • Take a selfie!

Marvel’s “Ant-Man” stars Paul Rudd as Scott Lang aka Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as Hope van Dyne, Corey Stoll as Darren Cross aka Yellowjacket, Bobby Cannavale as Paxton, Michael Peña as Luis, Tip “T.I.” Harris as Dave, Wood Harris as Gale, Judy Greer as Maggie, David Dastmalchian as Kurt, and Michael Douglas as Dr. Hank Pym.

Peyton Reed directs Marvel’s “Ant-Man” with Kevin Feige, p.g.a. producing and Louis D’Esposito, Alan Fine, Victoria Alonso, Michael Grillo, Stan Lee and Edgar Wright serving as executive producers. The story is by Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish and the screenplay is by Edgar Wright & Joe Cornish and Adam McKay & Paul Rudd. Marvel’s “Ant-Man” delivers a high-stakes, tension-filled adventure on July 17, 2015.

ComicBookMovie.com and Best Little Sites was the brainchild of Nate and a friend way back in 2002. Nate initially focused on the back-end programming and front-end design, but now manages the company and its associated sites as well, with a LOT of help from some very talented contributors.

Nate has loved comics from a very young age and continues to read them on a regular basis thanks to subscriptions to various titles (both Marvel and DC). He also loves movies, as his wife and children will attest. He's not overly critical of movies, so his reviews should be taken with a grain of salt as he's much more interested in being entertained and escaping the "real" world for a couple of hours than finding every conceivable plot-hole and character flaw in a film.

Outside of his guilty "nerdy" pleasures, Nate enjoys spending time with his wife and three boys, CrossFit, playing guitar, coaching youth sports and MMA (he spent a couple of years in the cage as an NHB fighter, but is now MUCH too old).
