AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Teaser Trailer Leaks Online In Higher Quality (And With Extra Footage)

A higher quality, extended version of the Avengers: Doomsday teaser trailer has now surfaced, and it features more footage of that long-awaited MCU return.

Avengers: Doomsday's first teaser trailer leaked online yesterday, and Disney has since moved quickly to remove it from platforms like X and TikTok. It's hard to believe the studio didn't see this coming, though we can't imagine they anticipated bootlegs flooding social media on Monday.

Marvel Studios still hasn't officially announced plans to release four teasers over four weeks (with each sneak peek attached exclusively to Avatar: Fire and Ash), suggesting the Steve Rogers reveal was meant to be a surprise for fans in theaters this Thursday.

Instead, Chris Evans' return to the role was spoiled by a blurry version of the preview that looked like it was shot on someone's old iPhone 7. If this is Disney's way of marketing Avengers: Doomsday after Captain America: Brave New World, Thunderbolts*, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps underperformed, then it's certainly a choice!

Regardless, an extended, higher-quality version of the Avengers: Doomsday trailer has now surfaced. It appears to have been recorded at an overseas screening and includes roughly 10 seconds of additional footage.

There's nothing too mind-blowing, as it simply sees Steve Rogers riding his bike down a dirt road before arriving home. And yes, it's the farmhouse we saw in set photos, which was codenamed "Luke Cage House" during shooting. Remember, a ship of some sort is said to land here (possibly Captain Marvel's spacecraft), so a lot's going to happen at Cap's homestead.

[REMOVED AT THE REQUEST OF THE STUDIO]

...But, you can read a description by clicking HERE!

There's still no word on a possible official release for this or any of the upcoming Avengers: Doomsday teasers. As of now, it seems the plan is for the spotlight to be put on the big three—Evans' Captain America, Chris Hemsworth's Thor, and Robert Downey Jr.'s Iron Man Doctor Doom—before a proper teaser is released.

That's the one we'd bet is going to be shared online, though at the rate these teasers are being released, that may not happen until the first week or two of 2026.

Avengers: Doomsday officially stars Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and Robert Downey Jr. Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Lewis Pullman all make their Avengers franchise debuts in the movie.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps leads Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn join them, as do X-Men franchise stars Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, with Deadpool & Wolverine star Channing Tatum.

The Russo Brothers direct Avengers: Doomsday from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with whom they previously collaborated on the Avengers and Captain America franchises. Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness's Michael Waldron is also working on the script.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled to arrive on December 17, 2027.

@robbo1701 - It's miles better than the first Eternals trailer. That one is truly the first trailer with zero type in it.

This one tops it, but it's probably the most underwhelming Avengers trailer to date.

@robbo1701 - It's a "teaser"... Yes, that's it. At no point should anyone have expected a trailer. And there are going to be 3 more; they're just setting the table, man.

And honestly, this actually is pretty hype. The problem is, most people here are tapped into this stuff. We're always kinda peeking behind the current so when stuff like this drops, it doesn't hit the same.

But giving us a glimpse into what Cap has been up to since we last saw him is pretty damn significant.

This is going to be delicious - Disney has painted themselves into the corner of needing this to be the BIGGEST BOX OFFICE BLOCKBUSTER OF ALL TIME or it will be considered a failure.

There's only one person here who looks like their "feewings" were hurt by something, and it's definitely not Rpendo.

I'll double down on what he said.
If you don't like what you're seeing in the trailer, the solution is elegantly simplye.

Stay home.

Or even better......

Stay home and Shut the [Frig] up.

Gone are the days when the first Avengers trailer is a post-credits scene of a Captain America film, the Age of Ultron Comic-Con trailer descrition is recreated in a drawing, the Infinity War Comic-Con trailer is literally on Pornhub, and the Endgame trailer just dropped out of nowhere.

Heck, even the Phase Three announce in 2014 with a secret Infinity War trailer is much more exciting in hindsight.

What the hell happened?

My only thought is let the Roger's arc end with Peggy. If they mess with it, at least justify it, and bring him back to where he started, only with a little more heroism on his belt. Steve needs to keep his happy ending one way or another. Otherwise they're really pissing on the end of End Game.

what the ^$#k did I did watch? THAT's supposed to excite me into buying a ticket? Pass. MCU is struggling in this decade, man. Why can't they just go back to writing and producing stuff the way they did pre-Endgame? Why is that so hard?

MGSSnake1988 - 12/16/2025, 8:21 AM
@BadgerThorkin - They've had that formula since Iron Man. Have a story, navigate the comics for designs and inspirations, film it with open freedom, and fix the whole thing in post production. Add the television content eleven years later, and it became a mess amongst the Marvel executives.

Heck, it was Joss Whedon who held the pieces together and it earned them the Avengers.

You actually believe that?

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!!

The Joss Whedon Avengers movies were the WORST Avengers movies of the Infinity Saga era.

And I'm even including the "Avengers movies by other names" Avengers movies like Captain America : Civil War a.k.a Avengers 2.5, and Spider-Man :- No way Home.

We only remember Avengers 1 fondly because it was the fist Avengers movie and the first time we had ever seen that kind of team-up, but that movie did not, and does not age well, my friend.
And I'm not just saying that on account of how long ago it was. I can watch Iron Man 1 any number of times whenever it pops up on TV without going through prolonged moments of cringe and have a great time watching it.
You can't say the same about the "quip-fest" that is Jossvengers 1.

Ever bothered asking yourself why nobody ever hired him again after he left the MCU?
Well WB did for the Justice League movie, and ....well.....we all saw how that went and how he did when he didn't have a KEvin Feige safety blanket to buffet his dumb decisions.

Anyway regardless if it’s leaked or not , it was trending on Twitter so mission accomplished for Marvel/Disney there!!.

Yeahhhhh.......marketing is off to a bad start. Probably one of the worst teasers for an anticipated blockbuster I have ever seen.
MyCoolYoung
MyCoolYoung - 12/16/2025, 12:46 PM
@Irregular - Can you explain how? Marketing started with chair reveals that got millions of views. One of the most beloved characters in MCU history, who hasn't been in anything in six years, is being shown to be in Marvel's biggest movie, and somehow it's off? Did you want a teaser of Doom ripping his heart out?

Irregular - 12/16/2025, 1:11 PM
@MyCoolYoung - Oh jesus christ stop being so over-dramatic over one's opinion. Did I declare as fact for all of humanity that this is THE WORST TEASER OF ALL TIME!?

And yes, this is a weak-sauce teaser that is splitting up 40-50 seconds of footage, four weeks apart that can only be viewed in theaters, so for four weeks the movie is going to be misrepresented through garbage ass phone qualities. Give us a teaser! Don't just say, "Steve Rogers returns in Avengers DOOMSDAY" because let's say audience's AREN'T following along? Why is it called DOOMSDAY? Why is so calm and peaceful when your implying the title of the movie IS THE END!?

Just seems like it's dying for the gasp and cheers silence the trailer pretty much does the moment it goes it slowly pans up to Chris Evans. First Avengers teaser as the end of First Avenger was 10X better and it barely showed ANYTHING! Not asking for the whole movie here, but jesus christ do they not know how to "build and anticipate" the whole point of the damn teaser trailer that was "debated apparently for months" to how to market it? LMAO. What a joke.

RE : >>>"Oh jesus christ stop being so over-dramatic over one's opinion. Did I declare as fact for all of humanity that this is THE WORST TEASER OF ALL TIME!?"

It's funny how you ask him whether you made a declaration that it is the "WORST TEASER OF ALL TIME",, implying that he suggested or even implied that you did,....... when you yourself can see very clearly from his post that he did no such thing.

It's a teaser.
Post- wrapping principal photography, and while they're currently still doing re-shoots.

All of which means, they haven't done any VFX shots at all, likely won't be done with any big action set-piece CGFX and VFX processing until the summer of next year most likely - which is when we're likely to get a full trailer with big action set-piece shots.

You were never going to get more than a low-fi almost zero-effects teaser at this point - a FULL YEAR OUT from release.

If you were expecting more given all of that, and the timeline currently involved, then the moron is YOU, and not Marvel.
Also learn how marketing of big tentpole movies like these work.

A year out from release: -
-Teasers.
- No effects.
- NO pivotal scenes and possibly even characters.
- More of an announcement than a buildup.

This was in 2011...a year before the movie released while wrapping principal photography while they're currently still doing reshoots.....and this was an after-credits scene for First Avenger no less....
?si=VzEThg2347IriOT9

So yes...if you wanna defend a teaser of Chris Evans smiling at a baby with a weak caption at the end and a "countdown" when they've done a lot better in the past....then by all means, that's YOU.

But do the world a favor and shut your fat stupid fcking mouth because you have no idea wtf you're talking about when it comes to how "marketing a big tenpole movie works."

You must be so moronic to forget that Spider-Man is literally six-seven months away...so wouldn't the obvious choice is to put a Spider-Man trailer out? No right? Because Doomsday has been filming for months before hand. So if you have all this footage, legit the first big money shot of this big anticipated film which turns out is an obvious rejected after-credits sequence and your lead actor is smiling at a baby in a warm setting for a BIG MEGA BLOCKBUSTER ACTION ADVENTURE WITH HIGH-STAKES MOVIE....

Then THIS TEASER IS LAME!

Robert Downey Jr. vs Chris Evans Part II: An Avengers Story.

If the explanation for this thing is the Ancient One's displace an Infinity Stone and thus a new timeline split thing, all it takes is a Disney+ subscription for that to make sense.

Or maybe let Doom listen to Black Sabbath's Iron Man song, since that song perfectly fits the whole Doom/Iron Man swap thing.
