RUMOR: New AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Details On Doctor Doom's "Vendetta" And Avengers vs. X-Men Clash - SPOILERS

As work winds down on Avengers: Doomsday, some possible new details about the long-awaited blockbuster have been revealed. We've been able to piece together various bits in recent months, but for the most part, the movie's secrets remain just that: secret.

That's not a bad thing, and it seems the hope among fans is that Marvel Studios will protect this movie's biggest moments and reveals as closely as they did Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame in the late 2010s.

According to scooper Daniel Richtman, a big part of Avengers: Doomsday will focus on the X-Men Universe being on a collision course to destroy other realities, including Earth 616. This isn't all that different from the Secret Wars comic, where the classic Marvel Universe collided with the Ultimate Universe.

Remember, in the comics, it was possible to save a world from an Incursion by destroying one of the two realities. Perhaps that's what Magneto is up to in this movie?

Either way, we'd imagine that Monica Rambeau's accidental arrival on Earth 10005 in The Marvels will be what causes this; who'd have guessed the Captain Marvel sequel would be this important to the Multiverse Saga?

Richtman has also explained that Doctor Doom will have a "vendetta against the Multiverse" in Avengers: Doomsday. What that means remains to be seen, but Victor Von Doom may be out to destroy every reality so he can follow in Kang the Conqueror's footsteps by making a single "Sacred Timeline" only he rules over.

When it was previously put to the Russo Brothers that the MCU has rapidly expanded since they helmed Endgame (with mixed fortunes), Anthony responded, "Yes, the MCU has got quite large, that’s for sure. I mean, frankly, we struggle with that same issue. But part of the reason Joe and I decided to go back is exactly what you’re talking about. There needs to be more of a central narrative."

"That was something we were very specific about when we worked with Marvel [before]. We would like to bring the focused narrative back," he added.

Part of their master plan is bringing Robert Downey Jr. back, not as Iron Man, but the villainous Doctor Doom. "We can’t explain that as it’s part of the story," Anthony teased when he was asked how and why the Tony Stark actor is playing another character. "But there’s nobody else in the world who could play this character the way he’s about to."

Avengers: Doomsday stars Chris Hemsworth, Anthony Mackie, Winston Duke, Tom Hiddleston, Sebastian Stan, Letitia Wright, Paul Rudd, and Robert Downey Jr. Wyatt Russell, Simu Liu, Tenoch Huerta Mejia, Florence Pugh, Danny Ramirez, David Harbour, Hannah John-Kamen, and Lewis Pullman all make their Avengers franchise debuts in the movie.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps leads Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn join them, as do X-Men franchise stars Kelsey Grammer, Patrick Stewart, Ian McKellen, Alan Cumming, Rebecca Romijn, James Marsden, and Deadpool & Wolverine star Channing Tatum.

Chris Evans, Hayley Atwell, and Ryan Reynolds are also set to appear, according to recent reports from the trades.

The Russo Brothers direct the movie from a screenplay by Stephen McFeely, with whom they previously collaborated on the Avengers and Captain America franchises. Loki and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness's Michael Waldron is also working on the script.

Avengers: Doomsday is set to be released on December 18, 2026, with Avengers: Secret Wars scheduled to arrive on December 17, 2027.

I just hope it's a good reveal as to why RDJ needs to play both characters; Tony Stark becoming Doom could be actually interesting if they don't half-ass it.

@ModHaterSLADE - probably rule , save universe hes from or kill hero’s from regular time line that are not dead that is main theme for comics and movies

@ModHaterSLADE - My general preferance is he wasn't born looking like Tony and a strong narrative reason why he ends up looking like Stark. IF it is only he went to find Franklin to restore his face and the kid makes him look like Iron Man that is OK (as easily exp by saying his Dad was watching events on 616 with his tech inspiring the choice of a child) IF they play on it after with how characters react to that or how Victor exploits his new visage to say manipulate a Scarlet Witch with degrees of amnesia.

@ModHaterSLADE - RDJ will not be playing a Tony Stark variant, and it would suck smegma taint if he did

@ModHaterSLADE - I hope that their justification for RDJ is that we never see his face, just like with Doom. Then it's just an incredible actor taking on a near impossible role.

Otherwise I feel like it's just some crummy multiversal weird thing.

But... despite my gripes with Endgame (which are few), I think the Russos have that piece of the puzzle under control.

Doesn't original Doom want his momma back? I guess him ripping through universes to find a world where she isn't taken from him would be too similar to Wanda.

"who'd have guessed the Captain Marvel sequel would be this important to the Multiverse Saga?"

Probably anyone who watched it and saw the post credits scene.

@captainireland - yeah , I mean it seemed like one of the more important ones since it actually had to do with the Multiverse.

I think we’ve all got a bit of a vendetta against the multiverse so I feel you Vic

Yeah , I expect this X-Men reality and the MCU being in place of the Ultimate and 616 universe in the comics for the film which could make sense if it has to do with the dimensional rupture that they tried to close in the Marvels which ultimately stranded Monica is what I’m assuming is the reality where we will meet these X-Men variants.

In regards to Doom’s apparent Multiverse vendetta , if the rumors of him having had a wife & child that died due to the incursions are true then him going after the very concept of the Multiverse makes sense since it would blasphemous to him that something like that interfered in his life and took away the only ones he loved because nothing is bigger then him which plays into his massive ego!!.

I hope they don't destroy the multiverse in the end. That would mean the Fox X-Men, Toby and Andrew's Spidey, and Snipes' Blade would be wiped from existence. It would mean that when watching the original films, their universe is ultimately (pun intended) Doomed no matter what. I like the idea of all of them getting a happy ending. Heck, I want the eventual last scene with Jackman's Wolverine to be him riding off in the sunset with maybe Miriko on the back in his own universe. He's suffered enough. Give our OG heroes the happy ending they deserve and don't Professor X them all.

@Bucky74 - That is kind of how Loki S2 ended. This was when they were unsure what they were doing with Majors so who knows if that was a factor. Ultimately, Loki is powering the multiverse, allowing it to survive. This is what led to Tobey, Andrew, and the Fox verse existing. We know the sacred timeline was 616, or at least, that is what our earth was designated by MoM's illuminati Christine. The TVA referenced that designation as well. All of this was caused when Selvi killed HWR. At the end of Secret Wars 2015, the FF was recreating universes so its possible we dont see a sacred timeline again but a new version of 616 and all the other universes.

@CreateNowSlpL8r - As long as they don't wipe them from existence. Because that would be the worst ending to all of their stories.
