Dark Knight Sequel Will Wait - Nolan Booked till 2010

Bat-director Christopher Nolan is unavailable for a Batman sequel until at least 2010. Does this mean that Warner Bros. may forge ahead with another director?

Christopher Nolan will be directing a new film titled Inception for Warner Bros. in the near future. The film has been described as "a contemporary sci-fi actioner set within the architecture of the mind."

What does that mean for all the Bat-Fans clamoring for a sequel to Dark Knight? Not much at this point. Remember that Nolan directed The Prestige in the three year gap between Batman Begins and The Dark Knight.

On a personal note, I hope that the fact that Nolan is working with Warner Bros. on Inception will help ensure his participation in the next Batman installment.
