Thanks to Deadline, we have an early read on the Thursday previews opening number for Black Panther and things are looking very, very good for the Marvel movie. Sources tell the trade that the movie is on course to make between $22 million - $24 million and to possibly clear $25 million.

That's an incredible result which puts it on par with Captain America: Civil War ($25 million) and only slightly behind Avengers: Age of Ultron ($27.6 million). This is also the biggest pre-summer preview night of all-time as it easily surpasses The Hunger Games ($19.7 million) and Deadpool ($12.7 million).

Black Panther is breaking all sorts of records too as advance ticket sales on Fandango are still going through the roof; currently, the Marvel movie is the fourth biggest pre-seller of all-time behind only Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Star Wars: The Last Jedi, and Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

During its first two days overseas, Black Panther scored $23.3 million and the signs are currently pointing to a massive opening weekend of around $180 million. How many times will you be going to see the Marvel movie this weekend? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts down below.
