Captain America: The First Avenger" will focus on the early days of the Marvel Universe when Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) volunteers to participate in an experimental program that turns him into the Super Soldier known as Captain America. As Captain America, Rogers joins forces with Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) and Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) to wage war on the evil HYDRA organization, led by the villainous Red Skull (Hugo Weaving.)

With an all star cast which includes Chris Evans as Captain America, Sebastian Stan as Bucky, Hugo Weaving as Red Skull, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Tommy Lee Jones as Col. Chester Phillips, Stanley Tucci as Abraham Erskine and Dominic Cooper as Howard Stark, Captain America: The First Avenger will be released in 3D on July 22, later this year!

I still have reservations about Evans being Cap. I'm confident that they've put together a good movie, but I still would've rather seen someone else in the role. I can't wait to see what his new suit is going to look like in The Avengers.

@batmanrises it's for protection. The formula only takes him to the peak of human fitness, it doesn't make him bullet proof. The padding is probably bulletproof, it'd be stupid for him to go to war wearing a skin tight suit made of spandex or nylon or some other regular fabric. Hopefully, since Avengers is more modern, his redesigned suit for Avengers will be more streamlined and smooth.

This movie is gonna be GREAT!!! I hope when everyone thinks Bucky is dead, that the Russians find him with one arm, lol. That should be the end credit scene!!!

Hes looking pretty serious here, Good demeanor .Definitely enough to make you forget Johnny Storm typecast. Not even a Chris Evans grin....I like it. Should be good as long as Movie matches pic's.

I dunno it just looks puffy and the straps....they have to go. They should've based it closer to what Cap looked like in the Ultimates as far as his WW2 outfit. Bryan Hitch nailed it. That looked more plausible than this padded muscle suit strap-happy get up.

And please do not start whining and crying about me being a "DC Fanboy", which I'm not (and don't be hypocrites, you Marvel fanchildren go into other DC stories and post inane bs, as if this is a game you're somehow winning...lol). I'm not trolling. I hated Batman's costume in the first 2 Nolan movies. I thought he needed to look less high tech and more urban-legend-boogeyman-like. They grew on me as I watched the films though.

The costumes don't really make and break a movie, it's the acting and story and action, I know this. It's just looking at a still picture of the outfit bugs me...

It's the goofy puffy suit...It makes his neck look disproportionate to the rest of his body...making him look skinnier than he is.
