AMAZING SPIDER-MAN Just Revealed How Easily Peter Parker Could Beat Captain America In A Fight

Amazing Spider-Man is currently telling the story of what happened during the period which saw pretty much the entire Marvel Universe turn its back on Peter Parker.

After being sent back to his own reality by Mary Jane Watson, Spidey realises that time moves differently there meaning he has no time to waste. What felt like a week to him was only a day on Earth-616, and that means MJ could potentially be stranded trying to fend off the evil Emissary for months, if not years.

The panicked Spidey escapes from the Fantastic Four after they question what led to that explosion in Pennsylvania (it was the explosive death of Mayen God Wayep), but after ditching his costume due to the Feds being after him, the wall-crawler finds himself face-to-face with Captain America.

We've seen these two clash before, but with the clock ticking, Spider-Man uses his powers to take Cap's shield and smash him into a wall with it!

He's gone before the fight can continue, but this seems like a pretty solid indication that any battle between them would ultimately see Steve Rogers bested by Peter. In the end, Spidey is left with no other choice than to seek out Norman Osborn's help, thereby explaining what led to them becoming so close.

Marvel Comics has also released a first look at Amazing Spider-Man #25 (you can find it by following the link in the Tweets below), confirming that MJ does indeed spend a lot of time trapped in that alternate reality.

She's stuck there with Paul, likely meaning romance will blossom between them. That would explain how they have children together and why Peter and MJ are no longer together. Marvel Comics is determined to keep those two apart and, now there are kids in the mix, the chances of their marriage ever returning are likely somewhere between slim and none.

Do you think Spider-Man could beat Captain America?
