Deadpool - The Merc With A Mouth - My Pitch

So by now we've all seen the test footage which was cool anda lot of us have read parts of if not all of the script that got leaked years ago, so I thought I'd give my pitch to a Deadpool Movie.



Casting -

Ryan Reynolds - Wade Wilson/Deadpool

The obvious casting choice and you know as a Deadpool fan I think I have to stick with this choice as I can't think of an actor other than reynolds that would suit the character better, after all he is who Deadpool himself claims he looks like, he's pyhsically fit and well he's played the character before (more than once) although never been given his chance to shine.
We all know Reynolds has the rumour and wit to pull of the characters style and with some heavy make up this guy really would pull off the role.



Deadpools mind voices would be Reynolds putting on two different voices (white box and yellow box)

Jay Baruchel - Bob Agent of HYDRA 

Baruchel gives off a slightly annoying vibe and hes the physical size as to what I'd expect Bob to be, I can totaly see Jay nervously trying to be Deadpools friend.



Plot -

The movie starts in the wild canadian wilderness its late night and its snowing heavily and after the camera rolls across the dark valley of snow we see a Landrover riding through the storm along a narrow road, Inside the Landrover there is a soldier driving and another in the back, we can't see who is sat behind the driver but next to the driver is an offical looking middle aged man in a suit explainning the terms and conditions of something, he hands the unidentified passenger some paper work and then glares out the windscreen with a smile "Here we are my friend welcome to Department K" 

The valley of snow splits to reveal hidden deep in the valley is a huge army complex, spot lights swarm the ground and watchtowers are darted all over the place, the landrover drives up and a large main gate/door opens letting the landrover drive inside the complex inside it is very , once in the driver and passangers exit the vechiel and we get our first look at a some what hidden Wade Wilson, he is heavily bandaged and wearing a hooded jacket, we can see patches of blood stains on the bandages.
The offical man directs him and the two soldiers towards a scientist/doctor, the doctor holds his hand out to shake the man's hand and he introduces himself to Wade who he then comments "Let's see if we can make you better"



The opening credits begin to role over clips of Wade having the bandages removed to see he is suffering from a form of skin cancer, we see him sat on a steel table in a spotless looking medical bay, he's wearing a green apron and looking down at a picture of a woman with writting scribed on it saying 'Wade I love you, Vanessa xxx', we then see him being examined the doctors all have a dark vibe about them (during these credits his face is almost always hidden by shadow or the view is from afar or behind) after the title 'DEADPOOL - MERC WITH A MOUTH' appears we hear the lead doctor comment,

"Even after the healing factor..... his body still wont heal how can this work? this is a failiure lets stop here, disspose of it or send it to Killbrew"

Wade (whos body has been sliced open and stiched up many times) is taken unplesently to a much lower level of the complex its very dark down here and most lights seem to give off a green tone, a man walks out of the shadows and welcomes himself as Dr.Killbrew, another short group of clips show the next few years wade spends being experimented on until finally being thrown into a padded cell, here we get a glimpse of Wades now heavily scarred body, he lies silent on the floor until letting out a creepy laugh showing after years of being butchered on the opporating tables he has gone insane, the camera fades to black.

As the camera fades back screams echo down the corridor towards Wade's cell he jumps up and looks out the tiny cell door window, a large guard runs past the cell door in a panic he looks at Wade and stutters "Sorry freak you can stay, yer a deadpool anyway" but as he reaches the end of the corridor he screams and blood splatters across the wall, the guard crashes into a control pannel on the wall and falls down dead (three claw marks leak blood from his back) the control pannel bleeps and a light goes green and wades door opens, he turns to the camera and smiles.

Years later.....

The camera pans around a warehouse full of armed guards, a voice over from Wade "So I escaped from the toy farm and geared up, met some peeps and killed some peeps, see way before you started watching I was the most badass mercenary going and thanks to the Department of K's I landed a pretty sexy healing factor.... guess it makes me kinda unkillable" from the ceilling of the warehouse three grenades drop, they bounce on the floor and the guards look at each other before aiming their guns up high then BANG the grenades go off taking a handful out, Wade in full Deadpool costume drops to the ground with katanas in hand, he fights his way through the guards dodging bullets and slashing, putting one katana away he quickly guns down the rest of the guards.



Leaving the warehouse in flames Deadpool explains to the camera that after the years spent under Killbrew he forgot a lot of his past and so spent a few years of trying to track down who he was, but gave up and became a merc again, the scene cuts to a large storage unit where Deadpool proudly examines his weapon collection, a call comes through to his phone and we see Deadpool get a job, he's been tasked with killing a lead HYDRA scientist but he needs to keep the scientist's eyes, first he goes to a meeting place a large New York mansion here we meet Zeke a colonel with dark connections, he states that Deadpool must take another merc with him the beautiful mutant Copycat.

In one of Zeke's private jets Copycat goes over a plan of how to break into the old HYDRA base and get to the scientist but Deadpool is busy checking her out and hasn't listened, Copycat is confused by Deadpool's weird chat up lines and the way he talks to himself (during this time Deadpool's mind is telling him he doesn't stand a chance with Copycat) then Deadpool explains he already has a plan showing he is smarter than he lets on, above the HYDRA base the two drop to the ground and split up Copycat manages to shapeshift into a Hydra agent and gains her way into the base only for Deadpool to get inside by climbing through airvents, once inside Deadpool sneaks to a large lab where he kills all the HYDRA agents and finds the scientist.



The scientist suprises Deadpool by showing him he has powers of his own, he can inflict pain through eye contact, after a short struggle Deadpool gains the upper hand but before using his katana to take the mans head he is told to stop by a small HYDRA agent at gun point who had been hiding, Deadpool, the scientist and the agent overhear the commotion outside the lab (Copycat fighting Hydra agents) the scientist once again inflicts pain on Deadpool and the agent allows him to take the scientists head, the agent introduces himself as Bob and the two leave the lab saving Copycat.

Outside Deadpool thanks Bob by shooting him in the foot and putting his number in Bob's phone adress book, once back at Zeke's Deadpool and Copycat are surronded by armed mercenaries Zeke informs Deadpool he is sorry but it is a set up and Copycat is in on it, Deadpool breaks down to his knee's "No it was not beauty that killed the beast but the bastard the beauty worked for!" Deadpool's mind argues with him that this would be a good chance to surrender but before Deadpool can he is attacked by a large foe from behind and knocked out.



Deadpool wakes up on a plane his hands are cuffed and the large foe that beat him introduces himself as T-Ray a large muscular albino, and that he and Deadpool have known eachother for a while although Deadpool has no idea who he is, this really angers T-Ray and he proceeds to beat Deadpool up, Copycat tries to stop this but Zeke tells her she has no idea what Deadpool owe's T-Ray, when she asks Deadpool about this he goes quiet only to sing out loud "I can't dance, I cant walk, only thing about me is the way I talk" Zeke looks puzzeled and tells him thats not how the song goes which puzzels Deadpool as he asks "What song?"

T-Ray then goes on to explain that his boss is going to spend the next few years getting to know Deadpool again, Deadpool struggles to come free from the cuffs and Zeke pleads with him to stop struggling, but when he calls Deadpool 'Wade' T-Ray gets angry and begins throwing punches at Deadpool, Copycat tries to attack T-Ray but he is far too big for her and he punches her unconsious, as Zeke tells T-Ray to be careful while on the plane, Deadpool breaks free and holds both men at gun point, T-Ray smiles and comments on how it will be a shame that Deadpool dosen't remember him as his death will feel meaningless.

Deadpool shoots out a window and theres a struggle on the plane, Zeke is about to get sucked out of the window to his death but Deadpool saves him pulling him to saftey, butT-Ray blasts Deadpool with energy from his hand making Deadpool let go of Zeke who is then sucked from the plane and dies, Deadpool fights T-Ray with his katanas but due to the plane loosing control can't get a good hit, the plane crashes and Deadpool passes out.



Waking up in a dark lab Deadpool is confronted by a man in the shadows, Copycat is also in the room but she has been heavily beaten and is again unconsious, the man taunts Deadpool that he could be something amazing but his mind ruins it, stepping out of the shadow he is revealed to be Dr.Killbrew, as Deadpool listens to Killbrew as he explains that Department K was only a cover for Weapon X, Deadpool begins laughing and then comes out with a line of jokes pointing fun at Killbrew sending an albino to get Deadpool and for using Zeke of all people.

Killbrew then asks what Deadpool means, Deadpool then reveals that for  years he has searched for Killbrew and only ever found small hints of him still being alive, a few years ago he was given word that Zeke had had dealings with Killbrew and so he had applied to a job Zeke had posted and managed to learn more and more about Killbrew, Killbrew then questions why Deadpool had tried to save Zeke on the plane to which Deadpool states "Zeke was a dick, but Zeke was a dick who is a dick without trying to be a dick, most dicks try to be dicks while Zeke was only a dick because of his job....... in over words Zeke was my dick?" 

Killbrew disturbed by Deadpool pulls a gun out and points it to Wades head, telling him that he should have killed him to begin with, but Deadpool has broken free already and was using this time to torment Killbrew, he quickly stands up stabbing Killbrew with a knife he has had hidden, picking up Copycat they escape to find themselves in an old Weapon X facility, they run down a corridor but are then confronted by T-Ray who has killed all the armed guards in the facility stating this is just about killing Deadpool now, Wade sings out "How can we be lovers if we can't be friends?".



He and Deadpool fight as for the first time in the movie Deadpool's mind is actually agreeing with him and helping him during the fight telling him where to throw what punch and shoot, T-Ray and Deadpools fight causes the facility to come downa round them and eventually Deadpool runs T-Ray through with both his katanas, T-Ray angrily declares its not fair that Deadpool has killed him again and that if he's going to die again this time it will be the woman Deadpool cares about that dies.

Pressing a trigger Copycat wakes up and screams before coughing up blood and passing out, Deadpool takes one katana out of T-Rays chest and uses it to take his head killing him, running to Copycat she tells Deadpool that he's amazing and that shes sorry she took so long to find him, confusing him they kiss and she dies in his arms, but as he looks at her hand he notices a picture, the picture is of a good looking young man (Wade Wilson) and on the picture is scribed 'Vanessa, I love you too, Wade xxx' 

As Deadpool leaves the rubble that was once the facility, a car horn honks he turns to his left to see HYDRA agent Bob waving, Deadpool jumps into the car and after a last silent look at the picture he rips it up throwing it out the window and declares "Bob my friend I need tacho lots of tachos"  he looks at the camera and his mind gives us a voiceover "Well you didn't expect this to be some messed up Nolan crap did you?"
