Doctor Who Movie: Part 2/3 - Story & Plot Points 1

Here is the first segment of my story ideas for a feature length Doctor Who film that I'd love to see done right with James McAvoy in the lead. Here we go...

This will go over what my story for the film would be and along the way, I'll go over why I decided to go with that. Take caution as in a week's time, I might look back and wonder what on Earth I was thinking so, bare with me. Enjoy...

> The film opens with four green men in big coats/ cloaks and long pieces of jewellery around their necks, running through the corridors of what seems to be an exploding space ship. The entire place is a disaster zone with rubble flying through walls and the ship slowly rotating clockwise similar to events in Inception and the opening of the 2011 Christmas Special. As one of the men falls over, he yells for his younger acquaintance and the rest of the crew to save themselves and run across the aisle to an open door. After they decide it's their only chance at hoping to survive, they leave the elderly man and sprint towards it, and just as they're about to go through, a hand pokes out with a blue light on the peak of his 'torch' right next to the door on the opposite side and then it slams closed.

> When the elderly man asks (in his language) if 'he' has locked the door, the crew reveal that there's no way in or out for them now. They all reunite and hold hands as their fate will be arriving shortly. Just as the tidal wave of flames is about to hit them, we cut to a dark room where the only two sources of light are the white lights coming from a blurred out, blue Police Box and the blue light created from the same 'torch' earlier on and held by the same hand. The men teleport within split seconds of them being burnt to death, and are transported to a prison. Some are thankful for still being alive, but the elderly man rants in his language about 'him' and finishes with "You have taken my honour, but fear not. I will soon take your life, DOCTOR!". He grabs onto the prison-like bars and a massive zoom out from him to the entire planet to turn and see the massive ship turning into a fireworks display.

> We then cut to the same dark room, and the hand clicks with one of the doors to the Police box slightly opening, soon after the entire owner of the hand walks to the box in silhouette and steps inside to reveal it might be bigger on the inside; the door shuts by itself, and the classic sound is made as the box slowly disappears... What follows is the title sequence which is compilation of all the previous efforts with classic strings of the original sneaking in, but a real sense of adventure with the TARDIS (police box) constantly almost smashing into rocks and meteorites, but always making a close call. Obviously, it's extended with all the names they have to cover, but it finishes on the director.

> The next sequence is a look into the life of Molly Hert, as we see she's a well-paid car salesman, stays in contact with her mother, and generally leads a good life on paper. But we sometimes see a look in her eyes that represents anything but happiness, but rather longing for something more. One night, she gets a call to help host a party celebrating that the company has rocketed up 25% in sales over 5 months, and when she puts the phone down, she seems quite ungrateful and worried. The party turns out a treat as most of the mens' interest is in something other than the sales; the next morning, Molly wakes up next to a guy she can barely remember and she asks him to leave, he apologises and she pops off to work.

> When she arrives at work, her friend tells her that a group of them ended up going to a night club and that it was actually Molly's idea. Molly is oblivious to this and her friend also informs her that at one point, she had to drag her away from the colleagues because she kept talking about how unhappy she was and that one day, she'll find somewhere better. Molly apologises, but her friend says she's "seen worse". She carries on with her job as usual and after chatting with some keen customers, she notices an odd man outside in a long brown leather jacket and tie waving a strange 'torch' with a blue light scanning around the cars like he's looking for something. He walks inside doing the same thing.

> He continues waving, but examines one car in particular like it's the one he's been looking for, he crouches down. Molly says "Morning, sir. Can I help?". The man replies "Oh, I wish you could. I'd recognise their electrical arrangements anywhere, but why in the name of relative would you pick somewhere like this? No offence. Are they trying to build a super-car, a Cyber-car, a car? Come on, son.. play the game fairly.". Molly isn't quite sure how to respond, so she remarks about how the model he's looking at saying "That car is a new addition to the family, Mister..". The man stands up and replies "Mister. I hope you're paid well, Miss..". She says "Molly". "Hello there, Molly! I'm the Doctor."

> The Doctor's 'torch' starts bleeping and he lies underneath the car and scans it. Molly says "The exterior is something we're proud to have in our show room.. I'm glad you.. like it.". The Doctor replies "I'm terribly sorry Molly, but your wonderful car isn't what's blowing me on my back."; he gets up. She asks "What is, then?", the Doctor pulls up the front bumper, "This.". Covering the engine, motor, etc. are long silver wires flashing green. The Doctor looks like he got what he expected whereas Molly is taken by shock. The wires go invisible and this is just the icing on the cake that makes the Doctor decide to leave and Molly chase after him. Now outside, Molly calls for him "The Doctor, what was that was in our car?". "No, just Doctor.", he starts to walk off, she replies "Doctor?!". The Doctor turns around and shakes his head, "Please, don't tell your boss. I promise you, I'll do my best to find out what's stored in your motot, but I need time and you need patience. What time do you finish?", "6.30.". The Doctor asks if there's a cafe they can meet in, she says yes so the Doctor arranges to meet here during her lunch break. Molly asks if he's not familiar with town, how will he find her, the Doctor says "I will!" and walks off in the distance.

> They meet in a cafe, Molly is a bit teary-eyed "I'm glad I'm here. Couldn't bare to think what would happen to my friends if-". The Doctor asks "If what?", she asks the Doctor if the wires were some sort of bomb, the Doctor says that the signatures he picked up would be totally different if it was. Molly is relived, they both laugh but the Doctor mumbles to himself "They are very clever though."; he asks if she has any more questions, she asks "That torch.. does it scan the wires?". The Doctor explains that it's not a torch, it's a sonic screwdriver. Molly asks more basic questions, but the Doctor doesn't give too much away. During the night, Molly is on her laptop and decides to google 'the doctor"; she just gets results with job applications to be a nurse, surgeon, doctor, etc. She chuckles and types up 'doctor who' and finds a website with old and modern photos of the Doctor with pictures of different men and the one she met in the show room, then suddenly the lights and her laptop flicker on and off, and then her computer is back on her desktop and screen saver.

> She types up 'doctor who' again and gets application results. We then see the Doctor in some sort of library like in Star Wars pull out a red slide out of a machine. A man next to the Doctor asks "Remind me why you're doing this, again?", the Doctor replies "Got to keep myself out of all the front covers. I don't mind groups of people knowing about me, but I don't want to be in tabloids.". "You do know you could be changing people's lives right know." the man points out. "Not really, I'm only deleting the records, not the people who recorded them. Do you know I saved a woman's cat and she got an entire contract to write an autobiography, 'My Day With The Doctor'". The man responds "Well, I can't see the Daleks reading a book.", they both laugh "No, people thought it was about the economy so they didn't bother.". The man starts to walk off, "Till the next time, Ryan!" the Doctor shouts, "See you, yesterday!" Ryan replies. The Doctor jokingly offers to pop him back 5 hours ago to apologise to 'Saha', Ryan says he'll be fine with a Taxi.

The second segment will be up soon, so be patient (if anyone cares). Feel free to comment, and list your thoughts down below...
