Hello ComicBookMovie community! Hope you've all been having an excellent week and yes, I know that title has a lot of "F's". Anyway, a couple days ago I did a fan cast I cast some of my favorite actors in the roles of some of my favorite superheroes. Well today I will fan cast four of my favorite actresses in the roles of four of my favorite female superheroes. Now let's get started!
Carol Danvers/Captain Marvel - Jessica Chastain (Zero Dark Thirty, Interstellar)
There have been a lot of actresses names thrown into the hat for Captain Marvel by a lot of fans, but I think Jessica Chastian could be the best possible choice for this role. Not only is Jessica Chastain an amazing actresses who could do terrific things with any role Kevin Fiege would hand her. Having Jessica Chastain as Captain Marvel would be a dream come true as they would practically lock down a highly regarded actress into a role for a superhero many fans have been dying to see come to life for quite some time. Jessica Chastain has showed her range and would easily knock it out of the park as Capatain Marvel.
Carol Ferris/Star Sapphire - Emily Blunt (Edge of Tomorrow, Looper)
Yes, another Carol. Carol Ferris to be exact. Now much like Jessica Chastain, Emily Blunt has clearly been wanting a role in a superhero film. At one point she could have been the MCU's Black Widow instead of Scarlett Johansson. Anyway, Emily Blunt is a talented actess who has proven to be able to handle both the roles of a badass and still show much emotion. While I'll admit I don't know much of the Green Lantern's mythos, I do think Emily Blunt would fit like a glove in the role of Carol Ferris, and with the inevitable reboot of Green Lantern, Emily Blunt would be a great addition to DC's film universe.
Kara Zor-El/Supergirl - Emma Watson (The Perks of Being A Wallflower, Harry Potter)
Emma Watson as Kara Zor-El. This has been a favorite of mine for quite a while. Emma Watson is extremely talented and I think this role would fit her perfectly. In the prequel comic for Man of Steel, the story leaves itself open for Supergirl entering the film universe. Now while I don't think they should have a solo Supergirl film anytime soon, I do think they should keep her as one of Superman's supporting character as she is someone that connects him to, and can actually tell him about, his home world of Krypton. Emma Watson has the acting range to bring this character to the big screen and make it her own.
Zatanna Zatara - Crystal Reed (Teen Wolf, Crush)
Crystal Reed as Zatanna is the last fan casting in this editorial. Zatanna is one of those female superheroes we want no matter how we get them because she is just such a cool, interesting character with an interesting set of powers. Crystal Reed, while the least known actress on this list, is a talented actress who can bring Zatanna to any screen, small or big, and can look like a believable badass when she needs to. She also looks much like the comic book character.
