Okay my Star Trek Ideas were not good. So here is something you will hate ever more :D.
Just for fun let's come up with ideas on the charcter who is least likely to get a TV Show out of the main DC Charcters..Green Lantern ( Of course they won't name the Show GL because of the movie). I am got some really strange ideas on how i would do a Green Lantern show.
The Main Character is not your typical Hero. He is a former bad guy trying to find redemption in his life after being given Oa's Power
The Main Charcter is Guy Gardner but John Stewart and Kyle Rayner will still play a very important role in the TV Show
Arron Paul is playing Guy Gardner ( While he does not have the look completly down he can easily be Guy with his protayl of Jessie from Breaking Bad)
Will have a Tone very similar to Arrow. Will have better writing and more actions scenes though
Oa and the Guardians are not in this TV Show
There is a all new Backstory for the ring: Oa one of the beings of Emotion that was creates by the Starheart was betrayed by another being of emotion and The Starheart sealed him along with the other beings of Emotion into rings. All of the Rings landed on Earth in the form of meteors and have been hidden for other 100,000 years
20 Years Ago. Alan Scott who is a Researcher finds the Ring of Will and the Military take the Ring. Not wanting his investigation to go to waste he steals the ring from the Military and starts a new life. He keeps the ring hidden
Guy who lives in Detriot is a member of a known Detroit Gang who steals from business men. One day Guy's Gang decides to rate Alan Scott store..Guy who is a single father eventually decides that enough is a enough and tells the Gang Leader that they should stop
The Gang Leader in retaliation shoots Guy. The Gang escapes and Alan Scott thankful that Guy saved his life puts the Ring of Will on Guy which heals all of his injures and gains him the power of Oa
Now with mentor-ship of Alan. Guy must learn how to control his power while looking after his daughter and fighting his old gang also anyone who is corrupt in a form of Redempion
There is no CGI Costume. He Wears a Dark Green Hoddie and Dark Green Trousers .
The Green Lantern Symbol is in the middle of the hoodie ( He decides that should be his symbol.)
The effects are well done for a TV Show. The show uses much less CGI than the Movie
Guy does not have the ability to fly but can create any weapon of object he wants
He constantly has to deal with the issue of killing criminals. Like in Arrow he titres between killing and not killing
Many Green Lantern Characters ( Including villains) will appear in this show
The show ties into the Arrow Universe.
Alan plays the Mentor role. At first Guy does not like him but warms up to him later down the line
