With Breaking Bad ending, The Walking Dead is now my favorite TV-show.
I have been a big fan of the show and the comic book for few years now, but I stopped reading the comics after issue 100, because I don't want to get spoilers to do show, even though AMC taking the show to different places.
However I have some interesting ideas for the future of the comics and the show.
So in some point of the show, Rick and the group see something strange, a group of Zombies are being taken down by one guy.
Meet Kane AKA the Terminator, a former Navy SEALs soldier, now a professional zombie killer.
Kane has some good weapons, but he kills the zombies with a 30 inches long Machete in one hand and a automatic shotgun in the other hand. The Terminator wears an armor that covers his whole body (face and head too). This armor protects him from bites and scratches. he also has special brass knuckles that can easily take a zombie down.
Kane the Terminator takes down the Zombies with no problem, killing about 20-30 of theme in just few minutes.
Kane is little crazy, but he is a true bad-ass. He kills zombies everyday, and keeps tabs on how many he killed and how.
Rick and his people confront Kane, and he takes them to a new safe-zone.
This safe-zone is called Zion. It's located on a big filled near the ocean. Zion has walls around it, 20-30 feet high. around the walls there are channels filled with barbwire, so when zombies fall into them, they can climb back up. There are spikes and barbwire all around, and few Land mines.
Zion itself is built unlike any other safe-zone out there. Only few structures are on the ground, about 15 feet above the ground there few dozens of metal and wooden bridges, that are connected to each other. With this bridges there are many structures, that are homes, Clinics, armory and much more. All above the ground, so if somehow the walls around Zion are breached, the people will be safe from the zombies.
Rick's group later on meet the man that created Zion, the man that his vision is to rebuilt America. This man is Samuel Donovan, a former head of a big crime organization.
When the outbreak happened, Samuel didn't wasted too much time, from the start he had a lot of people that loyal to him. Sure most of them are criminals, but soon Samuel decided that it is all about the numbers, and the only way to survive is to save as many people as he can, and find a safe-zone. After few months Samuel had more then 2 hundred people, about 60 of them are soldiers in Samuel new army. Then Samuel built Zion, and kept saving more people. At some point Samuel started to building more safe-zones, most are smaller version of Zion.
In that time, Samuel had a full army of people who train to kill zombies. Samuel has also doctors and scientists. Every single person in Zion must work, no one just sits on his ass.
Samuel doesn't just want to survive, he wants people to live, to rebuilt mankind, and the best way to do that is to kill as many zombies he can. So, his soldiers go out there, and kill every zombie in their way.
Samuel has zero remorse to people who instead of in shoring that his vision will can true, they kill each other. Samuel has no problem killing people who won't play by his rules, so there is no place to people like the Governor in Samuel's America.
This could be a great highlight in the Walking Dead story, a beginning of rebuilding society, or as least a new society, that will survive the zombie apocalypse.
The only way to stay alive is to kill the dead.
