The Fantastic Four film production expands from Vancouver to New York City next month.

The film, starring Michael Chiklis, Ioan Gruffud, Chris Evans, Jessica Alba and Julian McMahon comes out July 1, 2005.

The Vancouver set is described as follows:
"FF Productions Ltd. will be working at 300 Low Level Rd. from August 2 to November 12. We will be building a Brooklyn Bridge set on the site. Once construction is complete we will film on the site. After filming has taken place we will dismantle and remove the set. When we have a film schedule in place, we will deliver another notice detailing our filming plan.

"The Fantastic Four" is a feature film based on the Marvel Comics created by Stan Lee. Our story follows four astronauts who, during an experimental space mission that went awry, are genetically and physically altered after being exposed to cosmic radiation. Reed Richards gains the ability to stretch and contort his body; Sue Storm is able to become invisible and create force fields; Johnny Storm can light himself on fire and fly; Ben Grimm becomes a rock-like being with super human strenght. Together they use their powers to fight the evil plans of their nemesis, Victor Von Doom, the set report said.
