Lionsgate has chosen a release date for Marcus Nispel's reimagining of Robert E. Howard's Conan the Barbarian in 3D, also known as Conan 3D. It will air in theaters on August 19th, 2011.

The film stars Jason Momoa in the title role as the mythical warrior with the cast rounded out by Rachel Nichols, Stephen Lang, Ron Perlman, Said Taghmaoui and Rose McGowan.
