GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY Soundtrack To Be Released On Cassette Tape

Marvel´s Guardians Of The Galaxy not only dominated the boxoffice but also the music charts. Since it´s release it has been available on Compact Disc, Digital Download and Vinyl LP but now it will be available on Cassette tape. Hit the jump for details.

At this moment Guardians of the Galaxy is the fourth highest grossing movie of the year with 732.6 millions but Marvel´s latest movie is not only a boxoffice success, it was also a big hit in the music industry as it took the #1 stop in the Billboard 200 chart for 2 weeks this year and it´s the tenth largest selling album of 2014.

Now Marvel is announcing via Billboard that Guardians of the Galaxy: Awesome Mix Vol. 1 will have a release in Cassette format and it will be available on November 17. The site reports that it will be released through Marvel Music/Hollywood Record, a division of Disney Music Group and it will be "exclusive to the community of independent retailers associated with Record Store Day, through Dec. 31."  Each cassette will come with a digital download version and, according to Billboard, it will be the first music cassette released by Disney since 2003.
