Archaia Entertainment's FEEDING GROUND Heading To The Big Screen

The Crow producer Edward R. Pressman has optioned the rights to Feeding Ground, reveals The Hollywood Reporter. The critically acclaimed graphic novel was created by Swifty Lang, Michael Lapinski and Chris Mangun. Alfonso Gomez-Rejon (American Horror Story, Glee) is set to direct the screenplay by Carlos Coto (24). In keeping with the graphic novel, it's expected to feature the Latino character's dialogue in Spanish, while the American's will obviously speak English. "Feeding Ground is an intense and terrifying thriller with a subtle but pointed commentary on immigration in modern America," Pressman told the site. "The graphic novel is so cinematic in nature — as soon as I read it, I knew we could make a film that would resonate with a wide audience." The official synopsis for the book describes it as follows.

A famine drives Diego Busqueda, a noble "Coyote," to lead his family across the unforgiving "Devil’s Highway," a desert cursed with blistering days and deadly nights. However, an ancient evil that has plagued the region for generations has emerged from the shadows. Pitting real-world border politics against a boldly reimagined werewolf mythology, FEEDING GROUND questions the very nature of survival.
