CONAN Director Marcus Nispel To Helm HACK/SLASH

It seems Conan The Barbarian's wretched reaction has not deterred Relativity Media, who have hired Nispel to adapt a movie version of popular Horror comic Hack/Slash..

THR report that Relativity's long in development adaptation of the comic Hack/Slash has finally found a director. Marcus Nispel, who recently brought us his take on Conan The Barbarian and is also responsible for such cinematic masterpieces as Pathfinder and the Friday The 13th remake, will helm the movie with Alexandra Milchan, Adrian Askarieh and Daniel Alter producing.

I have never read the comic but I hear good things. If you are also a Hack/Slash noob here is an idea of what to expect thanks to THR..

Hack/Slash, created by Tim Seeley and Stefano Caselli, centers on Cassie Hack, a woman who symbolizes the cliché of the lone girl who survives at the end of every horror movie. In this case, the girl not only survived but has become a killer of killers. Hack travels across the country hunting slashers in the vein of Halloween's Michael Myers, Friday the 13th's Jason Voorhees and A Nightmare on Elm Street's Freddy Krueger, along with a hulking protector named Vlad.

Sounds interesting, but as far as I'm concerned they may as well have hired Uwe Boll. What do you fans think, are you holding out any hope for this movie?
