It's no secret that Cyborg was supposed to have a much larger role in Zack Snyder's Justice League, but almost all of the character's scenes ended up on the cutting room floor once Joss Whedon took charge of the DC Comics adaptation. Now, the original version of the movie will be released on HBO Max next year, and that's something star Ray Fisher is clearly very thankful for.
"Shout out to all you guys, shout out to the support, especially, especially, especially the support that you've given the Snyders for Autumn, and for their family," a clearly emotional Fisher says in the video below. "I know they appreciate it beyond, beyond, beyond all measure. It means a lot."
Overcome with emotion, the actor walks away to collect himself before adding, "It means the world, I know, to the Snyders. It has meant the world to me. Thank you, thank you, thank you, thank you."
It's pretty wonderful to see just how much this means to the actor, but that probably shouldn't come as a surprise considering the fact that Snyder plucked Fisher out of relative obscurity when he cast him as Cyborg. Since then, he's started making quite the impact in Hollywood, and featured in a memorable role in HBO's True Detective.
