Despite recent claims that the release of the "Snyder Cut" of
Justice League is little more than a "pipe dream," fans remain optimistic that the movie will one day see the light of day.
During an interview to promote the release of
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker,
Justice League writer Chris Terrio was asked about that fabled version of the movie and chose his words carefully.
"The thing is, I can’t really speak to that at this moment," he explained.
"But I promise that I will talk to you about that very thing at some point after this film."
When the interviewer put it to him that they likely have a "lot to talk about" down the line, Terrio agreed -
"Yes, we do. We seriously do." It's clear that while he doesn't want "Snyder Cut" talk to distract from
Star Wars, there's a lot more to this story than meets the eye.
On that note,
EW recently caught up with Joe Manganiello and asked the
Justice League star about his decision to release those Deathstroke images along with the #ReleaseTheSnyderCut hashtag.
"I don’t know who started that," he said of the movement that took over the internet last month. "Because of the cancellation of Batman and the various other projects that my character was going to be in, I never got to release them. I honestly wanted to stop talking about it. I don’t really like talking about things that didn’t happen."
"I have a ton of photos from the set photographer that were never going to be released that were sitting on my computer," the actor continued. "One day I thought, if I don’t put them out now they’re never going to come out. I might as well get them out to the public."
