Will GHOSTBUSTERS Be Rebooted?

After all the rumors surrounding GHOSTBUSTERS 3, will we ever see a third movie or will the series face a reboot?

After all of the rumors and drama surrounding a third Ghostbusters film, it sounds like Ivan Reitman may just call the whole thing off and reboot.

In a interview with Collider, Reitman was asked about Ghostbusters 3 and where the project was in development. The filmmaker gave a rather unexpected answer: "I think Ghostbusters probably should be remade, if we can get it all right. We're working on it, so we'll see."

Could this mean that Ghostbusters will be rebooted or just an another rumor? List your thoughts and reactions below. Peace.

Please do not reboot Ghostbusters. It is a classic and classics don't deserve to be rebooted. Rebooting it is like colorizing Citizen Kane.

Hollywood deserves a super-mega wedgie.

Gremlins Reboot >>>> Ghostbusters Reboot

Just keep the Gremlins puppets an not CGI or very very minimal CGI an i'll be ok with it.

WHAT!? Rebooting Ghostbusters? Do a spin-off or something, you know, like it could be about a Ghostbusters team in a different city.

There is no need to reboot the series! OMG, I can't believe Ivan Reitman is even humoring the idea!

Rebooting Ghostbusters is ridiculous... rebooting Gremlins? yes please!

in fact make it Gremlins vs. Critters , that's the movie that should be made.

Didn't you get the memo? Everything needs to be perpetually rebooted. They have no new ideas whatsoever. None.

I got a great idea for the next film. Like seriously original. They should talk to me. I'd get this shit sorted. It needs to be on a level with or better than the original. Not just another sequel. GBII is enjoyable but it's not really the same kind of thing as the first film. It's just a curtain call. This needs to be so much more. It needs that spark. But I ain't nobody so I'll never be able to write it for them. They don't know me and I don't know them. Which is a shame 'cause I could write a screenplay that could even tickle Murray's nose.

I wonder how the Hell a non-established writer could get in touch with Ackroyd about this. I'm sitting on the best pitch in the world and I don't want to put it on a message board if there's any chance of making a dime ot of it, y'know?

Make Gremlins 3 instead. Billy gives Gizmo to new owner or something like that.

Remake something which has potential to be better. Like The Howling, House, The Gate or Night of the Creeps. There is others too but those came first to the mind.
