SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY - Come Get Your First FULL Look At Tom Holland’s Amazing New Suit!

Following yesterday’s quick teaser video, Marvel Studios and Sony Pictures have finally unveiled our first full look at Tom Holland’s amazing new suit for Spider‑Man: Brand New Day!

The new suit seems to draw clear inspiration from his Spidey brethren Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, who also sported suits with the raised webs and darker red and blue tones, albeit with its own modifications, including what appear to be much larger webshooters.

This latest costume does a pretty good job striking a balance between nostalgic homage and a fresh, grounded take on Spider‑Man’s classic aesthetic. The red hue is deeper and more matte-than-ever, while the navy blue sections carry a fine mesh texture reminiscent of Garfield’s second suit design. Plus, the raised black webbing—echoing the original silhouetted lines of Maguire’s Raimi-era suit—is a clear stylistic callback. The spider emblem on the chest is bigger and more angular, providing a slight update over the final suit from Spider-Man: No Way Home, which merged the bold Raimi-style logo with sleek, modern design cues from Holland’s Home trilogy suits.

Most notably, this is the first time since his homemade suit that Holland’s Spider-Man is wearing a suit that he himself made. The somewhat controversial Tony Stark designs are gone and in their place is a suit that reflects Peter Parker’s resilience and self-reliance, a fitting evolution for a character now fully on his own after the memory-wiping events of No Way Home. With no one in the world remembering who Peter is, the grounded approach signals a thematic reset with a more grounded approach - something that fans have long been calling for.

Filming began today in Glasgow, Scotland, which once again stands in for New York. Set photos have started surfacing online, so be on the lookout throughout the weekend for even more shots of Holland's new suit.

While plot details are still tightly guarded, the title Brand New Day is a nod to the 2008 comic book storyline that rebooted Peter Parker’s life following a major continuity reset. That arc famously erased Peter’s marriage to Mary Jane and reintroduced him as a single, struggling hero with a fresh rogues’ gallery. While the film is not a direct adaptation, the parallels are clear: this is a Peter Parker rebuilding his life from scratch, and the new suit represents that rebirth as he tackles a whole new challenge with an all-new set of friends and foes.

In addition to Holland (Spider-Man: No Way Home, The Impossible), the supporting cast consists of Zendaya (Euphoria, Dune), Jacob Batalon (Spider-Man: Homecoming, Reginald the Vampire), Sadie Sink (Stranger Things, The Whale), Liza Colón-Zayas (The Bear, David Makes Man), Jon Bernthal (The Punisher, The Wolf of Wall Street), Mark Ruffalo (The Avengers, Spotlight), and Michael Mando (Better Call Saul, Spider-Man: Homecoming).

The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (Shang Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings; Short Term 12), with a screenplay from longtime Spider-Man scribes Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. It picks up after the multiversal chaos of the previous entry and positions Peter back as a street-level hero in New York City, where he'll cross paths with The Incredible Hulk and The Punisher.

The upcoming film will be the final MCU feature before the Avengers: Doomsday, but it's believed the new film will be relatively standalone in feature, although we'd be shocked if it didn't at least set the stage for the highly anticipated mega blockbuster coming our way in December 2026.

The response to yesterday's teaser was overwhelmingly positive, with many praising it as Holland’s best look yet (even with only a minor sneak peek), so we'd imagine today's full reveal will also be received exceedingly well. From the raised webbing, the comic-accurate color palette, and the character-driven symbolism, it’s a look that bridges generations of Spider-Man storytelling and paves the way for a new beginning!

Spider‑Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.

Raimi still remains the best for me.

I told y'all it's the same suit.

Same suit. Looks good. I would've liked to see some experimenting instead of sticking with the classic, but the classic looks good. The spider symbol might be a little too low though, I don't know.

As long as it won't be constantly replaced with CGI, I'll be good.

Blah not the raised webbing again. It sucks.

Hope they keep the moving eyes, at least.

@Fogs - I always liked the raised webbing. If it has the bigger eyes then this is the perfect Spidey suit! Damn, Hot Toys might get me for this one. I’m still waiting on my Deadpool and Wolverine, Wolverine that they delay every month

@Bucky74 - I'm not a fan, always saw it as a gimmick for having details to the 2002 suit and fear of the cloth suit looking campy, and was adopted as some kind of live action canon.

Plus I never bought Toby being able to sow that. Maybe because spiders are natural knitters, i dunno 😂

@Fogs - I loved the raised webbing and missed it in the recent suits but I get your point about making that. Maybe there’s a site that sells raised patterns on Amazon he buys from, lol

@Fogs - I mean in the comics he made his own suits too, it realy isn't that hard to operate a sewing machine, designing what you want the end result to look like is the hard part and can easily get pattern sheets to work out the size of each section for a perfect fit.

I should know, I had to self learn how to do it to make pro standard dance comp outfits for our kids as no way we could afford upwards of $300 per year for even the most basic designs and closer to a thousand for ones that would stand out well on a crowded dance floor of competitors for the national finals our two qualified for multiple years in a row.

@Apophis71 - Of course he always made his suits.

I'm talking about the rubber webbing.

@Fogs - Fairly easy to do also, added braiding to a couple of the kids outfits, no different and I'd argue flat design addition a tad tougher to perfect TBH as then your likely talking hand dying the material which is tough to get that crisp.

The spider logo looks Andrew Garfield inspired with the raised webbing being Tobey Maguire inspire. Seems very similar to the end of NWH suit while being a blend of Garfield and Maguire suits. But of course practical

And that blue is perfect

How anyone can complain about this suit is beyond me. It’s pretty much classic spider-man which is what people generally asked for. Can’t wait for this movie!
