We’ve always known that Spider-Man’s most important battle has been within himself: the struggle between the ordinary obligations of Peter Parker and the extraordinary responsibilities of Spider-Man. But in The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker finds that a greater conflict lies ahead. It’s great to be Spider-Man (Andrew Garfield). For Peter Parker, there’s no feeling quite like swinging between skyscrapers, embracing being the hero, and spending time with Gwen (Emma Stone). But being Spider-Man comes at a price: only Spider-Man can protect his fellow New Yorkers from the formidable villains that threaten the city. With the emergence of Electro (Jamie Foxx), Peter must confront a foe far more powerful than he. And as his old friend, Harry Osborn (Dane DeHaan), returns, Peter comes to realize that all of his enemies have one thing in common: OsCorp...

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be directed by Marc Webb from a script written by Alex Kurtzman, Roberto Orci, Jeff Pinkner and James Vanderbilt. The film will star Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker/Spider-Man, Emma Stone as Gwen Stacy, Sally Field as Aunt May, Shailene Woodley as Mary Jane Watson, Paul Giamatti as Rhino, Jamie Foxx is Electro and Chris Cooper as Norman Osborn. The Amazing Spider-Man sequel will swing into theaters May 2, 2014.

GREAT MOVIE. I haven't seen Spider-Man ever have this much fun. Sadly most people want him to mope around all day like in Spider-Man 2 instead of having fun.

They did an amazing job with the CGI on this film it's seamless. The web slinging scenes are some of best action you will see in any CBM, if not the best yet and easily the best of any Spider-Man film. Don't believe the overly negative haters on this site, the film isn't perfect but it's an entertaining Spider-Man film.

Totally agree.

I would've loved if Spidey didn't knock GG out...and beat the crap out of him like in the comic but without killing him.

The fight was too short.

The only thing I really dislike about his suit is his damn boots. They look like wedge sneakers.

@prettynucIear- Peter Parker is supposed to be a geek. Why do you think nobody at school likes him? He's anything but cool.

I honestly feel like I seen the movie, I watched all the trailers and tv spots numerous times, already know certain spoilers (insert name here) won't return for a sequel unless the lazerous pit from batman existed in the marvel universe, and I read on Wikipedia when the rhino shows up, I watched spidey battle the green goblin scene online and stopped it when it got to a certain spoiler type point and cut it off....I can say goblin is shortly in this movie....I was hoping for an epic long final battle and not a cool short one...I can say that I know I haven't seen all the movie but I can officially say I can piece together the plot, and if the plot is what I think it is then I honestly think that the green goblin should've been in the movie as the main bad guy and max Dillon should've been max Dillon the entire movie and have him turn into electro at the end.

I saw it in IMAX and I enjoyed the web swinging scene. Tomorrow I'm planning to see it in 4DX. It's a new experience. The seats move with the action onscreen. When Spiderman swings from skyscraper to skyscraper, audiences feel like they’re flying and falling, too. There is actual smoke and mist in the theater when police cars crash into an armored van in the streets of New York.

i can sort of see why people would have some problems with this movie, but i barely had any. I only had a problem with some cheesy lines here and there, some licensed song choices, and a couple plot holes here and there. But the movie is so much fun i didn't care, i felt like a 9 year old kid again. I haven't been this into a movie in so many years. The action, the acting, the special effects, the score, the last 20-30 minutes all of it. And for that for now it is my favorite comic book movie, you don't like it?
