all the bad reviews on RT complain of the same thing ... "we've seen it before" .... wtf do ur jobs and evaluate the film, not the fact that its a reboot
im so excited for this movie ... can not wait any longer

As much as it didn't need a reboot, this movie has shaped up to look pretty promising, not sure if the kids will love it as much as the Raimi versions with all the emo-exposition infused at the cost of J Jonah Jameson and the Daily Bugle, but we'll see. Definitely gonna be a huge hit though!

Spidermoe7 they are doing their jobs, movies don't exist in a vacuum. Begins was obviously compared to Batman 1989 and Ledgers performance in TDK was compared to Nicholson. Iron Man 2 is good movie but is bashed because of Iron Man, and the Avengers climax has been seen before in Iron Man 2.

A reboot should either show a different aspect of the story, or move on to other issues. Either go Batman Begins or The Incredible Hulk.

I hope this movie is awesome but I have to wait until the 13th for its release. On the surface the story has simply replaced Osborn with Connors but we'll see what happens

The sewer clip looks the best. That first lizard that waddles out is so cute. The generic music on all these are kinda distracting though.

Owlman relax, no need to start insulting people now

You are acting like reboot was the only option, granted it could have been the best decision but is it entirely impossiple to conceive a Spider-man 4 with the Lizard? Batman can have a reboot like Daredevil, Star Trek and X-Men because they had never shown how he became Batman. His parents died then he was Batman - there was a significant gap in the narrative unlike Superman, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Thor and Cap.

All those movies explained the "how and why", the issue is not the reboot so much as it is the retread of the origin.
