The Scorpion will be getting a radical new look in Beenox's The Amazing Spider-Man, so hit the jump for a brand new promo poster and a couple of action packed screenshots from the game which is due out later this month.

Stupid looking Scorpion. Seriously, I can't wait for this game, but do they really have to tie every villain in this game to human/animal splicing? It's unnecessary!

Watched the E3 coverage of this over the last few days... My anticipation for it is really wavering...

The swinging (for me at least) looks fantastic! The open-world stuff just looks like I could kill hours shooting about Manhattan :)

The story looks pretty... mediocre, but what do you expect from a movie tie-in?

But the villains... I'm really liking! The big boss at Activision said they had to keep in with the theme of the reboot films that a lot of the villains will be 'enhancements/experiments gone wrong.' He also said they couldn't use villains that will be in future films, but could allude to them...

SO! He said that there is a Doc-Ock 'presence' in the game, but no Doc-Ock... There will be a symbiote 'presence', but no Venom...

The way I see it, they could be our future villains people!! It would fit in with the enhancements/experiments gone wrong aspect, although it would pretty much go completely against the 'untold story' thing they seem to be going for...

Time will tell!

My AUnt is a big whig over at Sony. She told me the list of villans for #, and the definate villan for 2. I wish I did'nt know tho to be honest. Takes away the excitement. I like that the villains are experiments. Kind of like Sandman in the Ultimate universe.

I meant to say #3...my bad. And the list is the short list of possible villans. The third movie MAY have 3 villans in it, but 2 for sure. It depends on where they settle on taking the story with number 2 and it's success.

I have a feeling we'll get an Otto Octavius cameo in this movie. I love the gene splicing theme, to me, It's a great way to tie all of the villains and spiderman together and considering most of his villains are animals, I think it works perfectly.

the whole idea of.the gene splicing thing is to give spidey's world a modern theme. Everything in the comics is based on radiation because guess what he was written in the sixties when radiation aand nuclear war was something that the people reading had actually seen in their lifetime.
