FLASHPOINT Still Doesn't Have A Director As Recently Hired Duo Confirm They've Yet To Sign A Deal

It's been well over a month since we learned that Spider-Man: Homecoming screenwriters John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were in talks to direct Flashpoint and it's now been made clear that those talks are still very much ongoing. The Hollywood Reporter caught up with them at the premiere of their movie Game Night and revealed that the deal with Warner Bros. hasn't been finalised.

"We’re still negotiating," Daley confirmed. "Deals are in the works right now." Confirming that they haven't started working on the script because "we have to sign the deal." Daley added that: "Hopefully, it will work out." It's not clear what's holding things up but Goldstein offered a humorous explanation. "It’s all about parking spots. If you give in then you’re all the way out by craft services. You want a better spot than that." Chances are it's down to money and the response to Game Night

After all, if that movie is a critical and commercial bomb, the studio might think twice about hiring this team so we'll have to wait and see. Flashpoint has previously lost directors Rick Famuyiwa and Seth Grahame-Smith and the question now is, will these two end up parting ways with The Fastest Man Alive too? As always, be sure to let us know your thoughts on this news in the comments section.
