GAME OF THRONES To End With Season 7?

We know that seasons 3 and 4 of HBO's Game Of Thrones will both be adapted from the third book in Martin's saga, A Storm Of Swords. That means seasons 5 onward have the remaining two books -- A Feast For Crows and A Dance With Dragons -- to work from. But what about the two other books Martin is still writing? Well, what about them indeed! While talking to Rolling Stone, obe of the show's producers Frank Doelger reckons that no matter what happens, he'll be happy if we see seven seasons.

"[The number of series] is being discussed as we speak. The third season was the first half of book three, season four will be the second part of book three. . . George R.R. Martin has written books four and five; six and seven are pending," Doelger told Radio Times at the BAFTA Awards last weekend. "I would hope that, if we all survive and if the audience stays with us, we'll probably get through to seven seasons."

We have already witnessed a few changes from the books of course, but I would assume we are in for even more drastic ones if the showrunners need to come up with some kind of ending before we actually get one from Martin (although the writer has apparently told the need-to-knows how things end ..just in case). Books 4 and 5 will also have to be streamlined quite considerably to squeeze the major events into a final couple of seasons. For those of you that have been reading, is there anything you couldn't do without them dropping? Sound off below.
