The first video game to be based on this property - Game Of Thrones: Genesis - was met with a mixed reaction to put it kindly but we still have three more games coming our way, one of which is an RPG. Here are the first 10 screenshots from that courtesy of IGN..
The only character I recognize there is Commander Mormont but his likeness is uncanny so expect the rest to be too. Cyanide Studios are producing the game which will take place during the same time frame as the HBO TV series and the first book. The RPG is described by Studio Director Yves Bordelea as drawing inspiration from several BioWare titles and he likens the combat in the Game of Thrones RPG to Knights of the Old Republic. The gameplay will allow you to switch back and forth between two playable characters and although we will see Tyrion, Dany and the rest of the familiar faces pop up they will not be playable.
These shots are from the Xbox, the game will also be available on PC and PS3. Look for the Game Of Thrones RPG early in 2012.
