Oscar Isaac recently confirmed that he is indeed playing Marc Spector in Moon Knight (believe it or not, Marvel Studios hadn't officially announced the news until that point). Production on the Disney+ series is already underway in Budapest, but it seems new cast members are still being added.
According to The Ronin, Arab-European actress Dina Shihabi is being lined up for an undisclosed role.
The actress is known for her television work in shows like Altered Carbon, Daredevil, and Jack Ryan. She would be an exciting addition to Moon Knight, but with so many key characters yet to be revealed for the series, your guess is as good as ours when it comes to who Shihabi will be playing in the MCU.
With Isaac playing the title character, Moon Knight's other major confirmed casting additions include Ethan Hawke as the lead villain and May Calamawy. Jeremy Slater (The Umbrella Academy) has been set as head writer, while we know that The Witcher's Beau DeMayo is also working on the show.
There's a huge amount of excitement surrounding this one, especially as it will be the first time Marvel Studios has explored a street-level superhero like this. Throw in rumours of a supernatural element to Moon Knight, and we're definitely intrigued to see where the series takes the MCU!
Moon Knight is set to run for six episodes and will premiere on Disney+ in 2022.
