Warner Bros.' adaptation of Alan Moore’s V for Vendetta maxi-series took the top spot at the weekend box office despite some conservative complaints that it glorifies terrorism.

The film, starring Natalie Portman, John Hurt and Hugo Weaving, grossed $26.1 million at 3,365 theaters; a strong $7,766 per theater.

Meanwhile, the official movie Web site just updated with new interviews, photos, visual effects videos, stunt rehearsal videos, and much, much more!
