VENOM Concept Art Reveals An Alternate Take On The Symbiote That's Pure Nightmare Fuel
Whether you loved Venom or couldn't stand it, there's no denying that the symbiote looked very cool. Now, an early piece of concept art has surfaced which shows a horrifying alternate take on the creature.
Once upon a time, it appeared as if Venom would be an R-Rated horror movie, but Sony Pictures ultimately decided to go down the PG-13 blockbuster route for Eddie Brock's first solo adventure.
Now, concept artist Jared Krichevsky (whose credits include Stranger Things 2 and IT) has shared his early take on the Symbiote and it's fair to say that this would have definitely fit into a horror aesthetic. Sony could have done something really special had they gone down that route, but instead er ended up with a pretty standard sci-fi story with a very weird tone.
With any luck, this will now mean we're going to see even more concept art from Venom because it would be very interesting to learn how things came together and the way the project changed.
Tom Hardy is expected to return for a sequel that will pit him against Woody Harrelson's Carnage.
