Nothing terribly exciting, but since it's a very slow day for news I figured it was worth a look. I like this pic a lot, it gives off a kind of a Clockwork Orange vibe...



The trailer for the movie was met with a mixed reaction. I thought it looked pretty good a few dodgy looking outfits aside, but then again I haven't read the book so I have no idea how faithful it looks. The concept is certainly not very original but Lawrence is a fine actress and originality is not always the cornerstone of a great movie. Look at Warrior! Worth keeping an eye on anyway.

@krooklyndodger I was thinking the same thing, there is a similar shot but the one in this article's much brighter (in the trailer, it was very dark).

I've read the books and the costumes seem to be accurate. Im looking forward to this one

The costumes are pretty accurate, the only thing that concerned me was that District 12 looked more like the shire than a poverty stricken mining town.

i think the trailer is awesome. However, the personality of Katnis seems very similar to the actress's portrail and dialogue, I feel the physique could have been improved. Katnis should honestly be more skinnier (unfortunately)...shes basically like a feral cat/hunter, but here she looks like a farmer's daughter....and I figured Peeta to be a lot bigger.

actually, this isn't training. in training, they wear long-sleeve jump suits with red on them. this is her arena outfit, minus the jacket

she'd be lean but not skinny because she eats meat that she catches and is better off than the others in her district because of her hunting and trading. Can't wait for this to come out, plus with author involvement we usually get a better movie than without.
