AICN have our first look at the new poster for Lionsgate's sequel to The Expendables. It seems ol Sly will be taking the spotlight in this poster and leaving the rest of his iconic (depending on your definition of iconic) cast, including Arnie, Chuck, Stath and JCVD, to the side in favor of a giant number 2. Foreshadowing for the standard of sequel we will be getting? Well I'm sure if you enjoyed the first one you will enjoy this. Something tells me they aren't going to be that different.

The Expendables are back and this time it’s personal… Barney Ross (Sylvester Stallone), Lee Christmas (Lee Statham), Yin Yang (Jet Li), Gunnar Jensen (Dolph Lundgren),Toll Road (Randy Couture) and Hale Caesar (Terry Crews) — with newest members Billy the Kid (Liam Hemsworth) and Maggie (Yu Nan) aboard — are reunited when Mr. Church (Bruce Willis) enlists the Expendables to take on a seemingly simple job. The task looks like an easy paycheck for Barney and his band of old-school mercenaries. But when things go wrong and one of their own is viciously killed, the Expendables are compelled to seek revenge in hostile territory where the odds are stacked against them. Hell-bent on payback, the crew cuts a swath of destruction through opposing forces, wreaking havoc and shutting down an unexpected threat in the nick of time — six pounds of weapons-grade plutonium; enough to change the balance of power in the world. But that’s nothing compared to the justice they serve against the villainous adversary who savagely murdered their brother. That is done the Expendables way….

Why Hemsworth´s name is in the title? Thats little disrespectful if you ask me!

Too bad they didnt get Snipes for this movie!
Simon Phoenix and Blade rules!

marvel72@ Yeah there he is. Sad really. ;(
Snipes must be really pissed that he didnt get in these movies. I think he would have made lots of money with them or at least could have make a good comeback.
Hopefully he gets out before Stallone starts shooting the third part.

So...i guess JET LI's Yin Yang will be the one who'll meet his MAKER, since he's not even in the first official poster.

@Ear.....Jet Li WAS in the first official poster.

I read that Mickey Rourke's character from the first movie is the one that is murdered.
