BEWARE THE BATMAN Nominated For An Emmy Award

Despite mixed fan reaction and Cartoon Network pulling the show last October, the show has been nominated for an award in the Children's Animated Programme category.

Beware the Batman, the animated show from Warner Brothers, has been shortlisted to win the award for Childrens Animated Programme at the Daytime Emmy Awards.

This is surprising as cartoon Network recently announced plans to air the remaining episodes at 3am, ironic its possibly receiving a Daytime Emmy award.

The show faces competition from Nickelodeon's The Fairly Odd Parents, Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness and Monsters vs Aliens, and Netflix original series Turbo FAST.

The nomination follows former DC Nation show Young Justice winning an Emmy for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation.

Are you sad to see the show go, do you think it'll win? Sound off below!

When I heard this I laughed how does this gets a day time nomination when it's barely been on the air.Even though it coming back I'd be surprise if they renew this series for a second season.

Awesome news, though it puzzles me that it's receiving a DAYTIME nomination.

@unownfacts
It did air on a weekly basis. However it went on hiatus last October. Despite heavy rumours the show would be cancelled, it returns May 10 with re-runs. The unaired episodes will start July 27. it is highly unlikely that it gets renewed for Season 2. Some of the unaired episodes have been leaked onto the internet, though and the entire first season has been released early in the UK via Amazon.

I only watched the first 10 episodes or so, now I'm waiting for the last 3 to air before I watch it all, but it's a damn good show. The episode that was actually nominated - episode 2 with magpie - was excellent. If anyone is on the fence, give it a try.

Hope this puts more steam behind CN to really put some more muscle behind the show. Super under rated.

re: unknownfacts - "How does it get a nomination when it's doesn't even air on a weekly basis?"

They have all kinds of very specific details as to how and when a show has to have aired in order to be eligible for nomination. Shows have been Emmy-nominated after being cancelled for low ratings with six or ten episodes, becuase they met whatever those qualifications are (I don't have the time or energy to find out exactly).

And remember, they have miniseries and TV movie categories. Surely they've put a lot of thought into what differentiates things based on frequency of new episodes.
