The Hollywood Reporter have released the first clip from Green Lantern: The Animated Series, which is set to debut on Cartoon Network on Novemeber 11th at 7 p.m. Unfortunately, the video isn't available outside of the US and I've therefore been unable to see if there's an embed code. I can't believe they were talking about killing in kids cartoon show. But hey, I guess they can do that on a network that's for adults at a certain time.

The ring didn't talk. It was supposed to indicate that the lantern was diseased and that it was searching for another lantern.

Creative license. It would have been boring to have them flying around like mindlees beasts (especially when they are the the antagonists). That's why they speak.

I remember seeing alot of mobile suit pilots getting killed in Gundam Wing. Goku and Gohan and Vegeta and the villians in dragon ball z killing their opponents. So its not like there was never shows that showed people being killed.....
