THE CONJURING 2 Director James Wan Aims To Put His Stamp On AQUAMAN
James Wan will bring the King of Atlantis to the big screen in his first standalone film in 2018, and the acclaimed horror director has made it clear that he will make Aquaman his own.

Director James Wan is mostly known for his reinvention of the horror genre with his hit films, such as Saw, Insidious, and The Conjuring. Wan is a director that can easily jump from genre to genre, and he proved that when he directed Furious 7, which turned out to be a nearly impossible task after the death of Paul Walker. Recently, the acclaimed horror director decided to make another unexpected move by signing on to direct Jason Momoa as the King of Atlantis in the upcoming Aquaman standalone film.
Currently, director Zack Snyder is working on Justice League: Part One with Jason Momoa reprising his role as Arthur Curry/Aquaman, and with Wan putting the finishing touches on The Conjuring 2, it'll be a while until the horror director gets his hands on the King of Atlantis. In a recent interview with Comicbook.com, Wan spoke about his approach to Aquaman and what he plans to do with the Atlantean superhero. "It's still early process," said the director. "It's very important for me that I can put my stamp on it. If I can do that, I feel it will be pretty damn awesome."
