At last night's Launch of Farmhearts at Pure Yoga, Mark Ruffalo spoke with Mike Vilensky of Vulture on his "Incredible" role in the highly-anticipated Avengers movie. He shares his excitement for actually playing the giant using motion-capture. Plus he may have confirmed the film's 3D release.

"I'm really excited. No one's ever played the Hulk exactly, they've always done CGI. They're going to do the Avatar stop-action, stop-motion capture. So I'll actually play the Hulk. That'll be fun." Still admired by the Green Golitath's alter-ego Bruce Banner, Ruffalo says, "I really love the first TV version of it, the Bill Bixby one. I'm gonna shoot for that a little bit. He was an everyman in it. He's always on the run and trying to find love. It's really a sympathetic character, before he turns into the Hulk and [frick]s everything up." Ruffalo concluded speaking on his excitement of being the first actor to portray the Jade Giant in 3-D, he says, "I hope I don't bulge in anyone's face, that's all I have to say.".

If I'm not mistaken, I don't think is has been confirmed that when The Avengers assembles May 6, 2012, it would be in 3D. And I believe Edward Norton, who of course portrayed the character in the 2008 reboot, used parts of the motion-capture, to capture his face when Banner Hulks out in full CGI.

And regarding filming, Deadline heedlessly confirmed that Marvel Studios reps are(were) location scouting in the Big Apple, NYC. And Clark Gregg recently confirmed that filming would begin March next year, and not February.
