It seems Maggie Gyllenhall is in talks to star with Christian Bale in the upcoming Batman: The Dark Knight replacing Kating Homes.

With Maggie in place she replaces Katie in the role of Rachel Dawes; Holmes dropped out of the project earlier in the year, the trade paper reported.

Nolan is set to begin shooting in the late spring or early summer. The film is eying a summer 2008 release.
