Quite a lot of you will have seen Black Panther: Wakanda Forever at this stage, but just in case, here's your spoiler warning.

Though some of the plot details that found their way online prior to the movie's release did prove to be accurate, one surprise that remained under wraps was an appearance from Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus).

When Shuri (Letitia Wright) and Okoye (Danai Gurira) travel to the U.S. to ask Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) for help in locating Riri, we soon find out that the scheming Val is the CIA's new Director - and Ross' ex wife!

Now, the Seinfeld alum has taken to Instagram to share some behind-the-scenes photos from her time working on the Marvel Studios sequel.

Though Val initially appears to support Ross' efforts to avert conflict with Wakanda, it's later revealed that she's been monitoring his conversations with Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett) all along and knows the Wakandans are hiding something (the existence of Namor and Talokan). It's strongly implied that Val wants to harness the power of Vibranium, and this might give us a pretty good idea of where things are heading.

We know Val will lead the Thunderbolts, and a recent rumor claimed that the upcoming movie will focus on the team going to war with Wakanda. Whether that happens obvioulsy renains to be seen, but Val's involvemnet and actions in Wakanda Forever does suggest that there will be some kind of crossover.

In Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Queen Ramonda (Angela Bassett), Shuri (Letitia Wright), M’Baku (Winston Duke), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and the Dora Milaje (including Florence Kasumba), fight to protect their nation from intervening world powers in the wake of King T’Challa’s death. As the Wakandans strive to embrace their next chapter, the heroes must band together with the help of War Dog Nakia (Lupita Nyong’o) and Everett Ross (Martin Freeman) and forge a new path for the kingdom of Wakanda. Introducing Tenoch Huerta as Namor, king of a hidden undersea nation, the film also stars Dominique Thorne, Michaela Coel, Mabel Cadena, and Alex Livanalli.
