At the end of Captain America: Civil War, Bucky was put on ice by T'Challa so his sister Shuri and Wakanda's scientists could repair his mind and remove the programming put there by HYDRA. He didn't return until Black Panther's after-credits scene when we saw that Bucky is now cured and looks set to take on the persona of the White Wolf. So, how did Sebastian Stan feel about that revelation?

"I want to go back and revisit the Black Panther comics because of the White Wolf situation and that’s a whole different line, so I didn’t even see that really going that way and understanding what that could be," he confessed. "But it’s really clever the way they do
it, if you think about it. I look at that and go, ‘Of course. That makes sense, that feels well.’ I don’t know how they think about it."

It's definitely going to be interesting seeing if Bucky stays in Wakanda and embraces his new role there, especially as many fans are hoping he'll one day replace Steve Rogers as Captain America in the MCU.

As for that after-credits scene, Stan revealed that a much longer version was originally shot which would have elaborated on why he has a new name and shown his relationship with Wakandans.

"There was something really actually funny about that scene. It's definitely better the way it is now, I think. But that scene was at least 8 more minutes long than what we saw. And it was like a more inquisitive Bucky. He was kind of really going, 'What are they calling me?' And [Shuri] was telling him a little about it, and they have more of an interaction. And then he walked over and started hanging out with elders and playing with the kids, but you don't see that." Sadly, that won't be on the Blu-ray!

We know that because the special features and deleted scenes were recently revealed and there was no mention of an extended version. Do you think Bucky's future lies with the Black Panther franchise?
