ABlack Panther is now in theaters and it's breaking countless box office records. The movie feels like more than just Marvel's latest effort to expand its Cinematic Universe too because the cultural importance of the Ryan Coogler helmed release is massive and given the success it's found, it's clear that T'Challa is going to have a huge impact on the genre and could become the face of this world.

In this latest batch of concept art from the film, we're putting the focus on moments which did and did not make it to the big screen as opposed to characters and costumes. As you'll see by clicking on the buttons below, Marvel toyed with a lot of different ideas for the T'Challa vs. Erik Killmonger battle, while certain other sequences could have ended up being much different. Which is your favourite?

What an awesome piece of imagery! It's hard to imagine where a scene like this could have fit into Black Panther, so perhaps it was just used to set the tone for the movie early on in the development process. Either way, here's hoping we get to see a scene like this somewhere down the line.

Marvel Comics artist Adi Granov illustrated this beautiful piece of artwork and it was created long before the rest of the studio's concept artists had figured out what the Vibranium mine would look like. However, when it comes to setting the tone for this epic battle, it works absolutely perfectly.

Here, T'Challa can be seen fighting alongside Okoye and Nakia in a piece which quite clearly inspired the movie's final battle. That Wakandan sunset in the background makes this scene look truly beautiful but Marvel definitely made the right choice saving that for Killmonger's final moments with his foe.

This is a very different take on the battle between T'Challa and Killmonger as the latter is wearing military fatigues and wielding a couple of fierce looking knives. This is presumably another piece from early on in the development process before Marvel decided to give the villain a suit of his own.

Another kick-ass shot of T'Challa and the Dora Milaje, it appears as if Marvel considered making Nakia a member of their ranks before ultimately changing their minds and having her be a War Dog. Regardless, this is another stunning piece of imagery which clearly influenced the final film.

Here, we see Zuri stopping Killmonger from stabbing T'Challa through the chest as he hangs from Warrior Falls. This moment played out on the big screen almost identically and it's interesting to see how that was imagined by Marvel's talented team of concept artists long before shooting started.
